Thrustmaster setup

Hello all, I have just got the Thrustmaster and i was looking at the support page here https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/t16000mfcs-en/

If you look at game settings you will see "Mapping Example (by CMDR Aymerix)" is there away i can just port these into the game? if i can where can i get the file? or do i have to do it all manually. I notice couple other profiles you can download but they are not the same as CMDR Aymerix example.

I sent a message to Aymeric here in the forum. Very nice guy.

I think I have his response in mail, I will send you when I can.

Done, there you are.

Search these very forums for Aussiedroid. Extensive thread and VERY nice profile and script for configuring the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS.

edit: Err, wait. You are looking for the T-16000 instead? Sorry, wrong suggestion then.

I have Thrustmaster T-16000 FCS. I highly recommend 'Elite: Dangerous Reference Sheet Generator' that works for many stick. You can import your binds and have a reference sheet that you can print. And you can browse the bindings others have made and download them for your own use (on the bottom is link for my setup).

My Thrustmaster T-16000 FCS setting done with the tool:

(on the very bottom of that page is the bindings download link)

Team I’ve got the Thrustmaster Hotas X
I keep not getting around to unpacking it as I have so little playing time I think - continue kB/mouse play or use the time to set up.
Any scripting or links would be MUCH appreciated please

Guys has this got a reverse thrust? as when i pull the throttle right back it just stops me and dont reverse is this normal?

EDIT

Never mind i notice the reverse throttle button ~:)

With the latest firmware update installed, you'll have an option to add the HOTAS X as a default controller in ED and it will map out a default set of functions. The only thing I changed was the thrust up/down to the throttle rocker switch, I found all the rest to be fine. I've been toying with the idea of using multifunction capability (if you press switch x then all the other switches can have alternate functions), but I wanted to get comfortable with the HOTAS to start. I've been using it for a year, it's a great device and quite intuitive with the defaults. Have fun!

Ok it’s all sorted but with the current layout I wanted I can not seem to be able to free look, am I missing some thing or is this layout not set to beable to do that?

Set a key (either on the stick or on the keyboard) as the freelook key, and map the hat controls to up/down/left/right.

By default, the middle-mouse key starts freelook, and the mouse X and Y axes control it.

I play on PC and use the PS4 Thrustmaster. I just spent the better part of a hour tooling around in open space setting it up to how I felt comfortable. I just recently added Voice Attack, and one Cougar MFD and I'm completely covered and dont have to use the keyboard or mouse unless I'm traveling to a system I need to manually type in.

I've found that people like different button layouts and it is whatever feels comfortable and easily remembered to you.

Now you got me back tinkering my setup :) I have tried to find good way for free look without success. But thanks to you I tested a setup that works for me. You can put the headlook activation to thrust front hat (index finger). It works as a button also. I have mouse middle button as secondary and mouse turns head also. If you don't want to configure it yourself here is my latest setup. Two buttons on stick stand left hand side have changed (moved handbrake to same button with landing gears, put light toggle to replace it).

Edit: There is also some controls for galactic map: the two bottom pinkey buttons on thrust handle move the cursor. I am still working on getting the map working with the stick+throttle.

Oops sorry lol. So am I right I’m thinking you press that button and hold then move to look around? Is every thing else the same?

Most of us I believe just edit controls in-game. Stick software is usually used to fine tune sensitivity and motion contours, something I've never needed to do. I prefer not to have and extra layer between my stick and the game.

I use the mouse for headlook, the hat for thrusters and never bind jettison cargo to anything.

I have a Logitech game controller for my SRV.

This what I love about this game so many ways to play, I have not played with the SRV yet only just upgraded to that yesterday but I do have a Xbox controller plugged in ready to go so I think I will use that for the SRV
