Powerplay Faction: Yuri Grom Time to start a proper Yuri Grom group

Hello everyone, im trying to start a proper yuri grom group

There is already a group backing Grom, EG Pilots (they also founded that power of course). They have a discord server too. Although I can't say how far one will get on there without understanding Russian.

Ok idk why people continue to reference the russian group. This is clearly english speaking. Theres no proper english speaking yuri grom group.

Maybe because we've made this power in the first place?) There are english speaking channels, you can join and ask. And this group is official, all coordination goes there.

If you check all our public platforms you will see that we are hiring English speaking pilots. There are some among us already. When the first one joined, our idea was to create Grom's English speaking wing, formed by expirienced english speaking pilots. But there's not a lot of them nocking on the door, to put it bluntly. So if you really think you can pull this off - We totally encourage you to do so, but if you really wish to make this new group contribute to Yuri Grom Power - we should establish a firm link between two groups. Otherwise it will be like in one old Russian fable. when swan, a pike and a crayfish were trying to move a wagon and were pulling each into different direction.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have the subreddit active again. It obviously wasn't particularly active to start with given that it only has 82 subscribers, but it started out reasonably active.

That would give English speaking reddit users a place to find up-to-date information - no offence, but the EGU website only having a Russian section doesn't make it particularly inviting.

Actually, scratch that - finally figured out that you had to click the Russian flag to get a different language option. I honestly thought the flag was a place holder until you had a chance to make an English section. You might want to poke your web designer and have them change that slightly; I'd suggest having the Russian and British flag visible at the same time, to allow people to easily notice where to change the language.

But, it's a bad idea to have a split community for a single power - you can easily end up with each group essentially being saboteurs for the other group, which just leads to resentment and outright hatred.

So how can pilots join EG Pilots without being able to speak russian language?

Maybe they are alot more new players like me who would like to join, but just don't know how. I believe you that there is some place in the world wide web, but I wasn't able to find it at the first try.

Would you help me and others to find to door we have to knock?

Ok, so, as I'm not able to directly control neither of websites, I'll leave the information on how to join EG Pilots here:

To join EG Pilots, you should:

1. Pass a little loyalty test. You have two options:

A) Achieve an Allied reputation with EG Union minor faction. To do so, you can perform missions for this faction.
B) Achieve Rank 4 in Yuri Grom Powerplay faction. You can fortify Yuri Grom systems, all other actions are better be performed only on leadership demand, or you are risking to harm Yuri Grom instead of helping him.

2. Send a PM with confirmation screenshot to CMDR Xrym (@Xrym#5629) in our Discord channel:
A) Powerplay wing
B) BGS wing

CMDR Name, Rank/Reputation should be clearly visible on your screenshot. Modified screenshots won't be accepted. You may also want to add the following to your message so that CMDR Xrym would know who are you and why you are here:

"Привет! Я англоговорящий пилот, хочу вступить в сообщество EG Pilots. Вот скриншот с моим Рангом/Репутацией."

The choice of a channel is up to you. You can join both. There are daily (weekly, if we talking Powerplay) task updates which you can perform.

Also, I would like to ask you to contact me at Discord when you Recieve your Pilot rank and Discord role (@AL TARF#8947). As an English speaking pilot I will try to help you around our Discord server. If I am offline, feel free to poke any of these commanders: VaVylon#3099, Drill_Electro#1770 or I0GER#3138.
