Alliance Chieftain Ship Kit

We've gotten two chieftan kits + paint jobs, can we get an AX kit + paintjob for the corvette? Cutter's already gotten one for one of the other titans...

Still no Federal Corvette ship kit? FDev, please, I beg of you... Make the final ship kit that of the Federal Corvette, make it all shiny and gold. Have all my arx, I need that ship kit 😭

Yes. They might not be a native English speaker, but the requirement is "Earn 2 million bonds in the week before the Titan enters meltdown" (and to have damaged it, but if you have 2 million bonds from it you will have shot the thermal core).
Yes,
Just to be clear for new players, if you EARN 2M Cr shooting at a Titan Exposed Core (not AX combat in any system(s)) NOW (Thursday 17/10/24), then, if that Titan is destroyed anytime up until Wednesday 23/10/24, then you will be awarded the Decal and PJ's on the Thursday AFTER Meltdown (Meltdown is 24 hours after destruction of the Titan).

EDIT also IIRC you get additional ARX for each contribution to the damage to each Heart of the 8 Titans hearts

A gun with the classic aliens pulse rifle sound would be awesome.
Sorry for the tread derail... but...

There was a mod, years ago, to the old "Doom" (or was it "Quake"?) game that changed the monsters to those from aliens and had that exact pulse rifle sound for the guns. It even had Hudson saying stuff like "There they are over there! Get 'em!" or "There's movement all over the place!". Pretty cool.

Of course, it wouldn't happen in ED - I'm thinking copyright among other things - but nods to the Alien franchise would, IMHO, be fantastic.

I'm still hanging on to the hope we'll see ground 'goids to fight in human (and possibly alien) settlements.

Imagine having your flagship war machines so defeated that they have become tourist attractions to watching them explode.
I still wonder if we have seen their flagship war machines yet or just some obsolete stuff they dug out of a museum that was last used millennia ago.
I mean apart from themselves they have had nobody to fight since the Guardian AI turned on its makers.

All I can say is, 8 Titans is probably just a very small fraction of what the Thargoids have or are actually capable of. And we may just have given them a refresher on war, or at least how to handle it against humans.

But don't let the (in-universe) propaganda machine hear you say that. They want you to think humans are the bestest and greatest and cannot be defeated, stomping the mindless bug threat into the ground.

ya it would be cool to have ground goids of some form instead of killing humans only to further inter species relations:giggle:
killing nasty low down scavengers and then going scavenging is fun but i would rather it be waves of dropped on foot goids
i wanna be the first kid on my block with a confirmed ground goid kill:ROFLMAO:

Made me wonder, there is an old SF trope where we encounter this ancient alien race then find that they were the last of their kind, usually after we kill them.
Wouldn’t that be a twist if when the last Titan goes boom all Thargoid activity vanishes and certain permit locked regions un lock and have nothing but ruins. Bonus salt if all the tech in the ruins went bang so there was nothing to steal.

Good point, the ruins should contain wonderful art and music and other evidence of high civilisation.

I'm having problems getting past thargoid pulse field :// Do I need to keep charging neutraliser when the field is reaching my ship or fully charging and firing a moment before the field reaches me? I can't find the right moment and usually when I reach Titan my ship is in bad shape.

@S0rkvild
When the blue light starts, get ready with the finger on the button. It will get brighter, more intense, and you will hear unmistakable "chhhew" sound of pulse being shot at you.
At the moment of that sound, press the button and hold for a few seconds until it passes over you. Then release and let it charge, you will have plenty of time for that.

Rinse and repeat.

Yep. Switch 4 pips to SYS (to be on the safe side) when the maelstrom turns cyan and the charging noise grows to a crescendo, and when you see finally see the blue pulse wave heading your way press and hold the neutraliser - and keep it held until the wave has washed over you (it drains SYS, hence 4 pips can help). You get pushed back a bit but then you are back in control and can start boosting towards the Titan again.

Pips to sys. Probably good any time after you hear the soft "boom" sound when the pulse goes off. You can wait a bit depending on distance but generally you are good. Hold the neutralizer on the entire time. You'll shake and heat up but you won't get booted back the edge of the cloud. If there are a lot of people (like say in open) that are approaching you may have to do it multiple times.

I was doing it wrong by releasing charge a brief moment before arrival of the "bubble"
