To all bored commanders out there

Bebfore I go to bed I wish to share my recent experience with E:D

Some weeks ago I got bored. I collected 2 months of intensive gameplay untill one day I found myself falling asleep on my desk while playing the game. Every time I logged in, a sudden feeling of slumber falled on my eyes. So I decided to take a break and swith to other loved videogames like Eve, Ghost recon phantoms and minecraft.

I decided to not lose connection with the fabulous ED's community, anyway, and I continued to frequent the forums.

Now I'm back (about 1 week) and I'm enjoyng Open Play with the nice Italian community. To add some spice to the game I installed Voice Attack with a full voice pack. It works like a charm combined with my dual joystick.I downgraded from my Python to a vulture, and I'm having a lot of fun in our little "local community goal" and small gang activities.

I have to say I understood why I was not enjoying the game:

-I was playng too much on my own (private groups and solo)
-I was too focused on making money to buy a big ship
-I bought a Python and A kitted it, just to discover how much it is OP. So I was fliyng a ship too powerfull for my combat skill.
-I was doing too much trading
-I was not having social interactions

So I wish to suggest bored players to try to change the plot course and consider doing this:

-Join Open Play and dont get scared of "it's full of psycho players"
-Try some player to player interaction (you will be surprised)
-Downgrade to a lesser powerfull ship.
-Just trade randomly and without a precise course.
-Chose a gaming community to make friends and set personal/group goals.
-Play a more casual gameplay.
-Use voice comms, dont get isulated

And dont forget to take a break, ED is a growing child and it will show us more and more new goodies he can do as he grows up.

Regards

Good post, think sometimes everybody just needs a break, best to walk away for a bit and return fresh, happens to me with every game after a certain period of time, the plus side its always there waiting for me when my interest returns. Also as you suggested changing up what you do and who you interact with can breath new life into it. During beta I went into full time grind in trading to get up to the anaconda, even though it was a lot cheaper back then the process really wore me out. Since I started playing again this time I made sure to regularly change my activities in-game every few weeks so as to not tire myself out.
