I'm wondering about the global reward - "The search continues.."
What does that mean ?

Will there be more searches ?
What if the goal had been met ?

It's all very mysterious.

I'm a bit confused. I took part in the search mission a few days ago. I submitted my scan data, then the deadline came and the window for taking part in the CG expired.

Last night I fired up the game and saw the CG at the top of the boards again, and it seemed to be active? It looked like the same mission, almost as if it was a glitch and a CG that had already been completed was being shown again. I'm now on my way to the Gandii system to investigate the situation there with the Hand Gang, so I'm reluctant to turn around and go all the way back to Azaleach. But I'm curious as to whether the search for Halsey is on again or not. Can anyone confirm?

I think it's just a bug. Look at the date of the news article. I had several from a week ago pop up like they were new stories, but the dates gave lie to that.
