To Beagle, or not to Beagle

That is the space madness question?

Shall I continue on, thereby ensuring that by the end I will have underpants on my head and a occasional mutterings of "Wibble".
Or should I tuck my proverbial tail between my legs and make a bee line for civilisation?

Sag A and BP have been done by so many people. I doubt there's a star on these routes that hasn't been mapped. Head a different way, to the real unexplored places in the galaxy. You'll see what no one else has seen, first hand, and get a nice credit bonus on top of it.

It is easier with people along with you on an expedition but it is worth it.. I think.. Though I can't discount potential Wibbleness talking.

I'm finding the trek back more challenging :)

Beagle is one of those things you have to cross off your list.
I did it some weeks before DW2 happened, glad I did.
It's something not everyone has achieved these days, and it's a special view seeing the milky way from that far out.
I say go for it.

Looking at your routes you seem to have done the majority of the popular routes

Formidine rift, Guardian Ruins, Colonia, Sag A.

I would break the mould and try someplace no one has ever seen before.

You'd be very surprised how many unexplored systems are on even the most direct path to both. Same goes for the Rift. My last jaunt out there was a direct path because I was being lazy. I discovered two new ELWs on the way in unexplored systems.

400 billion stars. We're not even at 0.01% yet.

Might as well visit Beagle Point. DW3 won't be happening any time soon. Some of us from DW2 are still here. With FCs coming, I expect more are going to start heading back. There's also an expedition starting at Beagle Point. Not sure if it has left yet or not.

Beagle is 1/5th of the journey i am in now (lrh 3305 expediton). It is great!

So do beagle! Be amongst the -still- few who did that.

And learn how to max your explo profits.

Third option. Have an Alt account. So you can go to the beagle point and when you start feeling like you need Undies on your head switch accounts.

You'd be surprised! Almost all the ones i visited going to SAG A for the second time were unexplored and now doing a survey in the galactic centre and pretty much the same thing. There are a lot of stars.
