I don't know about 11.5 LY but I got over the hard part to Colonia with a jump range of around 14 LY so maybe. You might have to go the long way round by following the arm to the centre rather than trying to cross the gap.

Agreed. I took a route across The Abyss on DW1 in a 33ly Asp. I had to backtrack a couple of times, but it was the most enjoyable part of the journey as you couldn't route plot more than a couple of jumps at a time, and it felt like I was 'exploring' rather than 'travelling'.

That was my biggest disapointment this time. Even with a 43ly jump range, finding a route was very easy. Just click on Beagle point and it found the way for me in seconds.

Status Update: Confident
After a few days leaving Sag A*, I realised I was truly on the other side of the galaxy. It is a truly remarkable experience with a new wonder in every system. Why, with all this monumental vistas you could even believe the fabled stories of whispers in witch-space and Raxxla.


Status Update: Unnerved
It's starting to get to me now, the blazing light of a new star, the low rumble of the fuel scoop doing its job, the charging of the FSD....all of it. But the worst is the whispers, oh god the whispers. I know they are a normal effect of witch-space, but they don't feel that way.

Status Update: What are they saying?
I'm sure of it now, they ARE talking! If they are talking can they read these entries? Must take precautions. I know they are intelligent but do they know the older methods?

It's a long way.I've been there twice and it is an endurance event.

The view of the galaxy from BP is fantastic. There are lots of unexplored systems as long as you don't fly at zero y.
