To Cutter, or not to Cutter... finally reached Duke, do I care?

I have to ask, why did you go through that rank grind if you weren't sure that you wanted a Cutter?

Anyway, it depends on how you play and what you want, but the answer is almost certainly yes, get the Cutter. I have the big three and the Cutter is my favorite. I'm mostly a trader so I'm biased, but still. Before I got the Cutter I was expecting it to fight like a glorified T9 based on all the whining about it, but honestly, put everything on turrets except for a gimbaled class 4 in the nose and she's a beast. She can do pretty much anything an Anaconda can do and in most cases better.

But here's the real reason you want a Cutter: because once you have one, you can easily afford to buy and kit out whatever you want. It is an amazing cash cow and much better than the Anaconda for trading. Plus, she's beautiful

I have taken mine out for in RES and trained my crew from Harmless to Competent - he hit hostile targets better now and my shields haven't broken yet ...

If it crashes you 1 time out of 10 (some random number) you die and the basic bot function using auto-docking is completely worthless and unreliable.
Not worth fixing.

Even if the fact that an implemented QoL functionality which sets you back the whole trading efforts you sweat really is beyond ridiculous its just not financially worth it.
