To the far rim in a Sidey

You have more stamina than me Cmdr...when is your anniversary?

Frawd

3rd September. Tonight I gave up on getting any further down the Scutum-Centaurus arm and turned north to head back up to where I can cross into my third arm (heh heh). Unless I spot a bridge that Chiggy missed that's at least a 10kly back track...

Thanks Cmdr...I'm glad you appreciate the difficulties...and also the fun! I chose a sidey for both those reasons!

Yup, it is a blast and I cant wait to upgrade the thrusters on a sidey and see how fast she can do a canyon run...closer to the bubble this time though ;)

also a non-standard explorer I think...so should be fun as well. Going to BP again Cmdr?

;)

I don't think I'll go to BP anytime soon, the outer rim was the most boring part of the galaxy I saw so far.
I will focus this time only on the core region as -quite the contrary- it was by far the most interesting area. I think it is very underrated as most explorers usually prefer the arms & fringes, yet it contains probably 90+% of the stars.

So almost 10 months now...phew! Keep on flying Cmdr! I'll see you back in the bubble late next year :)

Agreed...the core has many fascinating systems and they're all really close together and there are lots of them!! I think I prefer it to the outer reaches as well...

If you look closely you will see there is a Cmdr under all my tags...Cmdr Jermus has almost made it to our meet-up. Apologies I wasn't able to stick around tonight Cmdr. Too exhausted which would endanger both our ships... :)

See you tomorrow.

Thanks Cmdr...I assume these are taken by Cmdr R1nzl3r?...given they're very close to my current location.

Can we draw any conclusions from the skid marks which stop abruptly at that huge rock ;)

He was distracted by the WW in the distance and almost ran into the big rock?

Day 214 was my meet-up with Cmdr Jermus, intrepid sidey pilot. It was awesome to see another sidey all the way out here in the black Cmdr. Thanks so much for meeting with me, even if it did take both of us a little while to figure out how to find each other!!

Check out the full report written by Cmdr Jermus for the Sidey Appreciation Society here:

I've just made back through the Abyss again (4th time!!) - bookmarks help and knowing where you are going ;). Currently about the 58ish Kly form Sol mark. Limited time flying at the moment - might managed a 10kly a week if I'm lucky.

(passed the 10000th system visited tonight!)
