Today I found out what happens when you supercruise to the next star stystem

What I'd like to know is did the skybox change over that distance? Probably not, and even if it did doubt it would be detectable

I hope they add that function soon, it makes sense as well, or remove fleets flying in at 100 m/s near starports.

It's not a "function" to be "added". It's to do with how the game is structured, each system is a separate instance. It would involve a lot of architectural change, not just nailing something on the end. I doubt it will happen- especially not with p2p networking.

Why not just insert some screen shaking and swirly clouds plus text saying something like "entering *target system* vicinity" and during that do the instance switching just like it is done during hyperspace.

Simple, and everyone's happy. :)

I like this idea, a bit of handwavium and we are all good. Still not sure why you want to do this when you can hyperspace instantly but each to their own!
