Today is the dev update

The problem is a lot of people believe that the road map has been abandoned and are unsure as to whether FD have any inclination/money to actually try to implement half of they things they said would be coming, they have also started adding things like the cqc that are deviating slightly. We don't want a road map just a scrap of hope like a simple everything is ok and we are going to be moving forward with the original plan soon.

But they only throw us scraps of "something else" some would deem worrying.

Whenever I think of road maps (that don't relate to finding somewhere in your car), I think of Dubya and the fact that his was upside down and drawn in crayon. So I'm admittedly biased against the use of the term, but on topic they've created the best game I've played in years and I trust them to keep on improving it (it's not perfect, no game is but it stands out from the AAA rubbish I've wasted time/money on for a decade).

No dev update from me this week - there will be one next week.

*sigh*

We are starved for anything guys. Heck even a recycled teaser and a couple words changed would be something at this point. If it is about building suspense, then you've built it....we are at supenseFULL

I'm thinking/hoping we get ONE of two options. Today's Dev update will come from someone else, perhaps a dev lead from the team working on the next big thing or a meaty newsletter, tomorrow.

Or, most likely third option. "You lot will get the same newsletter as the last few but with E3 news you already know. Teasers coming soon."

Evidence shows that tomorrow's newsletter will have some actual news, but nothing much on development of ED. Also I personally like their ongoing focus on bug fixes and 1.3 balancing stuff. As long as development goes on, I am cool. 1.3.06 is refreshing.

Of course, that puts a lot more pressure for Michael to give us some sweet news on next week, and I hope he understands that (we have given enough *hints* we want something meaty).

Also Sandro posts today have mostly scratched my itch for dev news. I liked explanation how illegal cargo scans work. I bet many people didn't know that.

All Michael needs to say.....

''.....they are here...''

And the forum would simply explode. Shortly followed by the popping sounds of the moderators combusting under the load.

Coming soon suspense decay, but it only happens when you are actively replying to a thread, all other forms of activity cause the suspense meter to fill up.......

I think one of the Devs should just post something like this.

There have been unconfirmed reports of vessels of unknown origins sighted in and around IC 2118, could some brave CMDR please head out there and investigate....

while at the same time putting 50 battleships that look surprisingly like Thargoid Motherships there that ambush anyone that arrives....
