yeah fair point mate....ahem....yes its one of my most fave of the old stories...but my true idea behind it was to Red Dwarf and that classic episode "gunmen of the apocolypse"
somebody correct me if i have the title wrong..

So i dig a bit about Red Dwarf and i read :

"Starbug strays into a Rogue Simulant hunting zone and is detected by a battle-cruiser whose xenophobic mechanoid occupants despise humanity. The Starbug crew are captured, but instead of killing them the Simulants upgrade the systems, weapons and armour of Starbug, intending to battle them for sport."

and then i see a picture of those guys related to the episode :



what the hell ! i was expecting something like :



looks like a mix between Star trek and a western spagetthi

its one of those you would have to watch to understand....it is set in space..they were however inside a VR western game in the pic you posted...that bottom pic...i dont know what that is

Seconded, I'm sure I mentioned that after the amazing 2000th rescue vid Radlock did (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZj3mbZVnNI). <- This video may actually have been ideal to show Ed before he started although he did an admirable job for a first time rescuer despite the disbelief that the Open rescue was genuine at first whereas Kerenn and Radlock were pretty much like "yeah, standard day at the office ".

Since Ed asked for comments at the end, the only thing I thought may have been good would have been a quick tab to the web page/irc to show where the group is and show people what there is to see there. In the Fuel rats case a whole load of awesome, the IRC, the screenshots/rescue logs, statistics etc

Finally I'd like to say a quick thanks to all those in the area that could have but didn't interfere, much better representation of how the fuel rats operate rather than the outlier case. Although having said that with the amount of fuel rats I saw in the stream I'd hazard a guess any action would have had interesting results
