Pilots who aided the Alliance in the previous Community Goal have now been awarded a fully engineered Grade 5 Fast Boot and Increased Range Frame Shift Drive.

The bracket has been increased from the top 25% of contributors to the top 75% following your feedback!

Exactly. Thought that it was a neat reward, didn't have a free weekend to spend hauling to reach 25%... ah well.

I suppose one way of looking at it is that if the threshold to get the module is low enough to make it a participation medal then it can't affect the outcome of the CG materially. The downside is that it loses its value as a symbol of you achieving something.

Still hoping they wouldn't do these double engineered exclusive pieces as CG rewards as it is pretty toxic to my plans to go and do some exploration.

This is infuriating, because I really grinded for it and I didn't do the cargo one as I couldnt do both at the required effort. If I had known I would have had 2 of those modules.
Why does FDev buckle for this but not for real issues like the gazillion bugs???

That's... ironic.

My main CMDR barely made it into the top 25%. My two alts hitched a lift on his Carrier and made a token effort, but I quickly realised that I didn't have the time to get them up into that range. Still, at least them coming in near the bottom would have pushed others up the leaderboard, helping them to qualify. Glad I could help out.

Except that I didn't. Each had a T9, so that "token contribution" will now get 2 more FSD's and push out two other players from the top 75%. Oops.

Remains to be seen - will we eventually be able to double-engineer modules? Probably not in 2020.

I'm not following the logic here. You can make it to Beagle Point and back in an unengineered sidey with careful planning and strategic use of jumponium.
