Torchlight in utility mount

Sorry if this was already suggested (I didn't find searching the forum) but I think that having some kind of light module in the utility mount when mining in the dark side of a planet (or after sunset) would be very useful. And pirates would know your position. :D I know that you could simply SC to the other side but this is just a thought of a lazy player. :)

You have ship head lights? Go to the right panel to switch them on.

Do they work in this way ? I tought they were used such as those on a plane IRL and merely a cosmetic addition in ED.
I'll try and see the difference.

They work well enough and considering the scale are incredibly powerful - will light up just a bit further than your 500m mining laser range.

I like mining in the dark that way, but for most people it isn't enough.

The landing lights DO work, but as the beams disperse so their effect weakens. If you are traveling at speed through a dark asteroid belt at speed you almost certainly will NOT see an asteroid until it is too close to avoid. However, for close in work they are more than adequate.

I'd like a light bar to go in the utility mount and then chase down smugglers as they leave the station...

"Looks like we got another one trying to hide narcotics in a biowaste shipment...light em up!"

*Opens voice comms with suspect*

"woooo....woooo....wooo...wooo....eeeeeeee....wooooo......eeeeee......woooo....wooo...woooo"
