Totally Lost - Please Help

Hi all

I have my G2 setup but I can remember from my previous setup there was certain things I needed to change in SteamVR and WMR but cannot for the life of me remember.

Do I need openXR or the toolkit and any other recommendations?

My system is a 13700K and RTX 4090 and I would appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction please.

you don't need openXR or anything else 3rd party. It is worth a try as it might improve performance, but at the moment, Odyssey runs well enough.

What you need is Windows Mixed Reality, SteamVR and Mixed Reality for SteamVR. You should pay attention to your SteamVR render scaling. If you leave it at default, the render scale is 150 percent, meaning the game renders at a resolution of 3884x3792 pixels per eye, which can bog down even the toughest system. I run a 3080 Ti on a 5900X, and I run the G2 at between 50 and 80 percent depending on where I plan to go. Populated settlements and AX CZs are amongst the toughest scenarios, this is where I drop below 45 frames and lose reprojection. In space everything is peachy though, and places like Res sites are somewhere in the middle.
