Trade Agreements nerfed?

Greetings Alliance CMDRs!
I have picked up 9 trade agreements (per weekly PP activities) from Wicca Town on one occassion and Dublin Citadel on another (both in Gateway for new CMDRs), and am trying to deliver them to 'Acquisition' systems but the Power contacts aren't accepting them. I've hit systems where Mahon has no opposition but it's still rated as "Uncoccupied" and I'm now sitting in the Tilian system which is still rated as "Unoccupied" but has Mahon and Archer both trying to take control but neither has hit the Minimum Control threshold.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a screwup with the types of commodities going to the appropiate "status" location? I am Rank 10 with the Alliance/Mahon power and I already did my default starter missions after the PPv2 going live.​

Two things I can think of that might be the issue.
  1. Does your weekly assignment specify a system to acquire the PP commodities from?
  2. Is the system you are delivering to in range of the system you acquired from?
In your galaxy map if you select the system you are getting the commodities from, then on the right side menu select the Power Play option and it will give you a pop up window. On the bottom of that window there is an option to toggle strategic view. Strategic view gives a bubble of all other systems within range to accept whatever PP commodities you want to deliver. At a glance it looks like there might not be any acquisition systems in range. If your assignment requires picking the commodities up in a system for which there are no appropriate targets in range, you won't be able to complete it.

Ahhh, THANK YOU.

I wondered what happened to the Bubble view since the update. I will certainly try this when I get home. It only cited "Acquisition" systems, so it must be a range issue. No specific pickup nor drop off systems.

And with that answer, for other new CMDRs, I have found this interesting nugget that may slip below the radar:
From a Fortified system, "control" has to be within 20 LY.
From a Stronghold system, "control is within 30 LY.
I was not aware that this was even a thing until now.

Sadly, I cannot find ANY qualifying "Acquisition" systems in range of Gateway, only Exploited systems at the moment, so I abandoned those 9 Trade Agreements and traveled out to Kaal which is a Fortified system closer to the edge of the bubble, so I should find some Acquisition systems from there.

How do you figure all this out. I take my hat off to you, sir. As far as I'm concerned, this PP2.0 stuff might just as well be written in Chinese. It's way to complicated for me. I still haven't figured out how to find an acquisition system.
