Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

I tried on a secon PC today and got the same errors

TCE hangs at the import journals, and if I remove them it starts with the same errors
My Windows is German, to be more prcise, swiss german.

It seems to be a localisation error. Please change it to german, not swiss, until I will find a fix.
Thanks

Thank you for the help
You are right. It is the Swiss German localisation of Windows. I tried German and United Kingom and USA: they all work.
I also switched the Game to from German to English but that has no effect. Microsoft must hate us Swiss lol
I can live with this fix
Thank you for the quick support

Hi Eventure,

I'm having a bit of a problem with top menu of TCE disappearing from view whenever I click on "Trade - hide" and also with "routes - finder - hide".

I've checked all my keybinds and turned off Voice Attack and tested with two keyboards and made sure ED is in Borderless mode.

If I run TCE without ED running it behaves fine in that I can't get the top bar to disappear by clicking the above combos. If I run ED then it keeps on hiding itself with the above combos.

The only way I can get it NOT to disappear is to hold down my TCE Focus key while I click around the menus. Am I being dumb? Is that how TCE is now?

I'm using 1.4.7.

Thanks...

Hi there,

can't recreate your issue, so please send me your database by using the Report an Error button at the launcher.
Please tell me to understand:
1. Did all panels disappear, or only the main UI?
2. When using the TCE show/hide keybind, can it be unhidden?
3. When it disappears, it is behind ED (check by ALT-Tab), no longer ontop?
4. How many monitors you are using?

Files sent:

1. All panels disappear
2. yes but I have to press my show keybind twice (Numpad +)
3. No it's not there if I ALT-Tab
4. Two monitors

Thanks Eventure

Kind regards

Got a crash bug: PC Bluescreened when bringing up the station screen (first visit for TCE, had just been added to DB). Now whenever I start TCE I get a .net exception at the 90% loading mark. Have tried moving my ship in elite but no luck:

Please try to activate the multi-monitor option at the Options panel, if it will change anything to your issue.
Did you using the surround mode of your GFX card, or each monitor solely?

The EDMC_Hangar.csv file seems to be the issue. You will find it at the EDMC_Data folder of the TCE installation.
Remove the file or all files within the folder, they got automatically created at startup, if they missing.
But please send me the TCE_Hangar.csv before to eventure(at)ki.tng.de for a check.
Thanks.

Well that would be the problem, opened the file in notepad++ and received a string of null characters. My guess is that it was in the process of writing it when the crash happened.

Also my space bar doesn't work when replying to comments. Weird.

Hi Eventure,

No difference if I select multi-monitor setup.

However the TCE Main UI is showing when I ALT-Tab, sorry I reported that incorrectly in my earlier post.

My monitors are set up as "Extend these displays" in Win 7 so each monitor is using 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The first time I click on trade - hide it works ok but if I repeat it the second time it hides the TCE Main UI, same with Routes - Planer - Hide.

Thanks

Okay, you saying, each monitor is used seperately, so not 3840 x 1080, but 1920x1080 each.
When selecting the multimonitor option, you have to select a monitor (when not using surround mode), where TCE is displayed. Did you tried selecting Monitor 1 or 2, or you stayed onto all?
When changing to multi-monitor option or selecting a monitor, please make a restart of TCE thereafter to be sure, the changes applied properly.

I was selling 4 articulating motors that i had got from a mission reward to a station that didn't want them so had no supply or demand, was making a profit (since they were free).

Same thing triggered when doing a similar sale with telemetry sweet which again was a mission reward that the station wasn't interested in (i needed the cargo space and couldn't be bothered to find a hi tech).

Ahh there you go, looking at my journal entry i think you must divide by averagepricepaid!
Code:

Yah, having same issue when selling mission rewards, crashes .Net/JIT with a "divide by zero" error. Won't let me copy the error report (in the window) either... odd.

Btw, did figure out the database transfer issue. All good there unless the above error is a result of not starting with a fresh one.

Hi Eventrude,

TCE is set up for monitor 1, the one I play ED on. I've restarted TCE to check.

Here is the weird thing, If I click on trade and hide it works once, TCE doesn't disappear. Same with routes - finder - hide, it works once. If I do either of these again it disappears.

I can get around it by not using the hide button. Trade opens the trade window and clicking on trade again hides the trade window. Same with routes - finder, I just have to click on routes - finder again and it's ok.

Weird! :D

I'm doing a fresh install without any imports to see if that fixes it.

Update on fresh install, sadly trade - hide worked three times before it hides the main UI. Had to ALT tab to get it back.

Could you include instruction in the manual for uninstall it does not appear in the 'Programs and Feature' dialogue window?
In an attempt to correct an error I opterd to install the new release and it was better, but wish to uninstall it and try again.
