I'm not sure what use it'll be, but here is my Journal File, the last entry is where I caused the error.
I can recreate it all the time, so it's not dependent on the system update details. I recreate it simply by sorting Star Class as the Event Reporter is shown.

Thanks, the error will be fixed with the next version.
Small Issue. MS Type Stars are being marked as scoopable when they are not. I've got as close to star as is possible and scooping wasn't activated. Plus as per this Wiki it's shown as none scoopable.

- Fixed some display issues at the Factions panel.
- Fixed finally an error at the scan body event, if the Navigation panel is visible at the same time.
- Fixed MS-type star to non-scoopable by database upgrade at the launcher.
Notes:
This version does not require a new installation of TCE. Use the update for V1.5.4+ installations.

NEW ICON-BASED INTERFACE:
This new interface contains icons instead of text buttons to access panels or sub-buttons of TCE.
The icons replacing the following text buttons:
You can activate the icon-based interface at the Options panel:
You can change the order of all buttons (except the Trade Overview and the Connect icon) by selecting Control > Panel.
Each changable icon gets a small select button to exchange the position of the desired icon:
Click it to get the list of icons, you can select. When an icon is selected, they will swap their position at the interface.
Thus you will be able to select the icons to a position you wanted them and not where I placed them by design.

Just like to say i really like the new icon based interface awesome work
1 tiny problem, my keyboard shortcuts dont work anymore, i've tried setting them again and setting new ones, the send focus to TCE one works just the ones that activate the panels don't work, i used the update 1.5.4. method.

Been using it for a couple of weeks and still trying to get used to the info offered. One thing I notice though, is that the 'system visit' count is often quite different between TCE and EDD. I can understand for systems that I visited before journal logs that EDD would know about but TCE could not, but there also seems to be disparity if I forget to fire up TCE for an evening. Could it be added to go read through the old journals and update the visit count? This could also be for visited stations that were not registered because TCE was offline - perhaps with a confirmation prompt.

Nope, this is not supported, TCE rely on it's own travel logbook, not on the journals, because the journal logs covering only the data, after the feature was released (~ 6 months) by FDev. TCE is live since the release of ED (~30 months).
It's also not possible to add stations without TCE running. You have to be actually there to register a market in TCE.

Try a verify of your database first, but the update is working. Maybe creating an error report getting me into position to help you out here.

Verified and still the same. Email just sent with error report.
Fixed
1.5.5 in icon view has a display problem for me. Recall I run at 5760x1080 with three monitors made into one by nvidia surround. The options I have set are: multi monitor set up is NOT checked, but all monitors is checked. My main ui control panel settings are: transparency 100, panel size 72, font size 70.
I can swap back and forth between the icon ui and the text ui. The text ui shows up normally. However, when I choose the icon ui, I get this:
Changing the main ui panel size/font size is functional, but does not change how the icon ui is displayed.
