Win32/Uwamson.A!ml TROJAN came along when getting the installer downloaded from the links here. May want to check the website as this is usually a "drive-by" virus users get just by visiting a site.

Hi Eventure,

I have encountered a very strange problem which has only just occurred this evening.

I am unable to enter a trading range before I could click on the red trading range box but that has disappeared and just left the white trade range box set a 0 light-years.

That is for the Manual Destination..

I have re-booted the pc, re-installed TCE, and verified the databases to no avail.

The box vanishes, because you have activated the automatic update of data at the EDDB-Relay. Stop the service at the Launcher (Extension tab) or at the Options panel (Online tab).
Change afterwards the Trade Range to values you prefer and start the service again. Will add a fix for this edge case with the next update.

That solved the problem perfectly.:cool:)

When I first tried to stop the service I received the following error but that was before I launched TCE.

Once TCE is running I can start and stop the service without a problem.

Yeah, thanks for your report. This bug is known and will be fixed with the upcoming patch.

Thanks very much for the update.:cool:)

Unfortunately, I have a new bug with the EDDN service.

At the launcher on after login, the EDNN is shown as not working, attempting to start the service caused an error.

Subsequent to that I tried again but the update stopped at station reference data at 62%, after several re-tries I entered TCE and tried again from the panel which shows the service as working but dos not show the trade range except when the service is stopped.

Sio it looks similar to the previous problem.

The trade range can be restored once the service has been stopped.

I have verified the databases which initially showed an error but was repaired.

I have an issue with the database of this since the latest update it seems to fail to create or update a database file, if it restore old db it works till i make the first jump again.

this happens even if i run in admin mode
verified and repaired db before loading as well
now i cant load it again unless i delete the old db and put a backup in

Hi Eventure,

Sorry to say that I have a bigger problem

When I launch TCE it informs me that the factions specific card is damaged. 8-((

Then it informs me that I need to run as admin, (I tried that but it did not help).

Then to remove the file specified or use a backup file.

How do I do that please as TCE is unusable?

For the moment I have gone back to the previous version as it seems that something is corrupting my DB,s

Please send me a bug report with the ErrorReportFiles.7z for a check with that damaged database or the database alone.

Just a thought but could something ion the latest update be causing the problem as Silverfoxbl and I seem to both be having database problems after this update??

Do the following:
Copy the damaged database to your desktop, delete the database from the TCE\DB folder afterwards, start TCE as usual and create a bug report by clicking the Report A Bug button and attach in addition to the ErrorReportFiles.7z the damaged database to the mail or add it to the archive to send me the file or provide it via a hoster.

My guess in case of your error is, that Frontier changed/added some parameter to the Faction output and didn't report anything about it, as usual. Because only some of you reported the issue, it seems to be not affecting most of other users using TCE.

For users, which can't get into the Launcher to update TCE to the newest version, you can download the update here: http://tce.4lima.de/TCE_Update.7z
Paste the contents of the archive into the root folder to update TCE manually. You have to repair the damaged database at the Database tab of the Launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

Hi. Many thanks for your continuing work, it's really apreciated. i've been away for some time and have tried using v1.8.8.4 (the last 2 versions had their own problems), I've now installed v1.8.8.7, however, elite odyssey is a stuttering mess with TCE enable. I thought perhaps it was because of the FSR in the graphics, but even with this turned off, the game badly stutters. I tried horizons and the result is the same. If either i don't run TCE or exit TCE during the game, elite is as smooth as butter. I've done the usual in deleting the graphics folder and re-running the game, but all the time TCE is running the game really stutters badly. This did happen with V1.8.8.4 but then i thought it might have been because of the patch 9 of odyssey and also whatever they did in the update of horizons. I'm at a loss as to what is causing this. Borderless window is enabled, i've tried windowed but the results are the same. I even hooked up a 2nd monitor and used that for TCE but no joy. I have an RX6800XT so there's loads of juice for it.
