Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

This is also not a bad idea, but I find it problematic in general, if ED has the focus, to move the mouse pointer to a part of TCE to show up, if there is no pointer shown by ED inflight. So I thought, by pressing a key to show up the main buttons, TCE will get the focus automatically and showing the mouse pointer, as a result of the focus, to move it into the desired position.

But when I think about, while writing this, a keybind to focus between ED and TCE could do the job too, so I am unsure, if I should change the main UI, or should we stay, what we already have.

The only thing I'd add to this is provide an option to keep what we have now, at least until feedback is provided, which you do any way. As I have difficulty visualising the changes mentioned, as improvements, but I need to see it before I'd know.

TRILATERATION GONE WRONG ISSUE

As you can see from the screenshot, I have provided the exact same details to EDSM as I have to TCE. The final calculated Co-Ordinates are almost the same, but that slight difference may be the cause of the problem. As a result the distance from my previous destination to my current destination is quite different. EDSM (Which is what EDDiscovery Uses) 7.53 LY against TCE with 11.84 LY. The former is correct when checking the distance in ED itself.

I get it.

Yes, a little annoying to move mouse (when you can't see pointer) in direction of TCE boxes, then it shows up when you are hovering over TCE box. I am unsure if it is worth it to change the UI for this.

As you say, maybe just a button press for giving TCE focus (and reveal the mouse position) is all that's needed. That would get my vote over redesign of UI, but you are designer!

I second the idea of a 'focus' button.
Btw., is there a way to have TCE using a 'real' process, e.g. switching to it in the taskmgr?
I'm asking bc i tried to get Voiceattack to open the launcher and start TCE, but i can't set the launcher as 'process target'
Know what i mean, Eventure?
Actual using TCE with VA works, e.g. using a function key for updating EDMC, or showing / hiding the panels, cause the presses are monitored. But starting TCE only works if referring to mouse positions, and only when no other windows have the focus.

Edit: or would it be possible to have a (second) Shortcut with a param to directly start TCE without the launcher first?

I feel left out, no comment on this issue, tut tut. :p

The issue could come from false position data of the star system, your were before. Rounding issues are also present.
Because we getting the position data from FDev directly with the V1.6/2.1, trilateration will be no longer necessary. So the Star System Database panel becomes useless.
Thus the issue will solve itself.

Yeah, that's what I suspected, but as you say 1.6/2.1 resolves this issue moving forward.

Hi,

Just a quick question or 2.

When being advised on a commodity to take through the trade advisor is there any way to set TCE not to suggest illicit goods?

Also, when deciding not to take the location suggested as the best value and selecting a location manually, how do you get back to the best value location again?

Thanks,

Another rare commodity to add: Njambalba - Personal Gifts - 12250cr

Thanks, will add it with the next full version.

i am having the startup error again. how do i show you it.

You can send me your full error report (incl. DB folder, check the FAQs, how to do it) to eventure(at)ki.tng.de or post it here at the forum.

TCE advising only goods, that could be sold at the destination market, thus the good isn't illegal. If a good status has changed, how could TCE know it? Only, if you scanning the destination market again. So checking the destination star system status at the galaxy map in case of illegal goods is a wise decision.

Either you reaching the destination or switching the Auto-Destination at the Options panel off and on again at the moment.

Well I never knew that, I've always selected the target station from the NAVIGATION-MARKETS tab, after ordering, useful to know.

Hi Eventure,

Thanks for the reply.)

The auto trade option solves the problem nicely!

The illegal goods must be n ED problem, this is the first time that I have seen it so I'll check and see if it occurs again.

I was trading narcotics but they are legal in the system I was delivering them too but it still said illicit goods but I didn't have any other goods, strange?

I think it may be because a local faction controlling a station may still deem them illegal

Whenever I turn TCE on, my framerates tank to a constant 30fps. The moment I close TCE, ED jumps right back to my usual 144fps. I'm apparently not the first to experience this, but I've reinstalled TCE, ED, graphics drivers, heck even .Net Framework, but still no dice.

If it helps, I'm running an i5-6600k rig with an R9 390 and 8GB RAM. Would appreciate any help/solutions, thanks!
