Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Will add it as an option for the next version, because we getting a single 'Docked' event from the journal. Should be no problem with it.
FYI the API server can sometimes lag the main server by a couple of seconds. So you should wait a little (I wait 5 seconds) between receiving the docking event and invoking EDMC to call the API sever.

Yeah I second that !!!
I made the mistake of trying to connect too fast a for quite a while and ended up with stations doubling up in my db and a few empty markets and other bugs before I figured what was causing the corruption.

Still I like the Idea of auto market update on landing, with a proper delay and an obvious completed message.
Having a main menu option to turn it on and off would also be nice in case it was causing problems.

Can someone else also confirm that the 3 lower panels (Credits, Waypoints and Summary) always minimize on startup whether the main menu options are selected or not.

Hello Commander,

please tell me, what you meaning with "it started processing"?

Normally you click the Position Display and two buttons appearing (Add Market and Add Location).
Clicking on one of these two brings you to the Database panel (Market or Location).
At the Market Database panel, you can select the market, you are, completing missing entries and save the market in the end (see the guide section of the main post for help).

Did you using TCE in conjuction with EDMC? Only with it, the Credit panel will show under unassigned the gain of credits. From there you can move them into a category.

I'm Sorry for the late response just now able to get back on and try another fresh download. "it started Processing" was the delay between when I clicked the New Market button and when the box actually came up. Its just not giving me a save button anymore. I do have edmc up and running and updating. Also tried it without it running before this new install. EDMC has my personal info but not TCE.

Hello everybody and welcome to the next development update of TCE.

Because I nearly finished the event system last week, waiting for more data from FDev about it, I started developing a new panel.
It is called Cartography and will hold all data of objects of a stars system, you have scanned by using a detailed surface scanner.

With the release of the new journal, coming with the ED 1.7/2.2 update, we will get many data from scans about stars and bodies of a system.
I found it very annoying to add those data by hand (e.g. manual input), so I refused to develop such data panel, but this has changed with the reveal of the new journal.

So let us see, what I am talking about:

The first tab of the panel showing all stars, you have scanned on your way through the galaxy. Many data is shown, including a picture of the star and all bodies and markets within the star system.

The second tab containing all scanned bodies, you have scanned.

You can take a picture of stars and bodies by using the new camera system, showing a preview of the picture into the HUD, you are about to take.
So you will be able to get into a comfortable position to take a shot of a body. It will update every second.

At last, combining all together, you will find at the System View tab a picture based overview of a particular system, you selected or your actual system.

All data is added by scan automatically, you only have to add a picture of the object to complete the entry. Pretty simple!

Today, I am working on a quick summary info of a selected object shown at the System View, when clicked.
Because the complete panel is not final at all, I will consider any suggestion from you to enhance it further.

Okay, that's all for today.
Have a nice weekend.

Hi Eventure,

Great work as usual.)

Will the cartography of the systems include the mineral content as is available in the galaxy map now?

It would be very useful if it did.

Thank you!

Every rock-based body will have a compostion list (in %), more detailed as in the screenshot shown. I 've taken some external data to fill the info's for shown bodies, for demonstration purposes.

Here is an example output from the journal for a metal rich body:
IRON: 35.1%
NICKEL: 26.5%
CHROMIUM: 15.8%
MANGANESE: 14.5%
NIOBIUM: 2.4%
YTTRIUM: 2.1%

A search tool so we can find the closest source of a particular mineral is one to the missing feature in ED that should have been included with the Engineers Update and would be a great addition to TCE !

Let's say I'm in Cubeo and would like to find the closest source of YTTRIUM and/or find the highest concentration of the same in a 100 ly range...

Is this in the plans ?

Will add it, no problem.

HEllo Eventure,

i can't really wait to see the new interface of TCE.

Short Question: Is there a possibility to search for a added market, so i don't have to scroll down all my markets?

Sure, use the Update filter setting at the Navigation panel > Market Places or use the distance sort option by clicking the Distance header.

If its not too much trouble to ask. It would seem Dropbox is down today and has been for the past 2 or 3 days, is it possible to get a mirror up of the files. I've been away from ED for a bit and would love to start using this again.

Thanks,

It is up and running, but I will look for a mirror.

Can't install the setup if drive C does not exist.
version: TCE_MK.II_1.3.5_full
OS: Windows 7 x64

If you don't have a c: drive, create a virtual drive, read here how to do. It's a limitation of the installer to need a predefined install location, so I have choosen c:\TCE, because usually a user has a c: drive.
