When TCE loads after the DB transfer, it reports journal entries that haven't been processed. Do these need to be done for my old registered markets to be properly recognized? If not, is there something else that would cause my old ones not be be shown? When I launch the game, the station I am in is unregistered, where yesterday it was fine. What I don't want is duplicate entries causing issues if processing these journals will cause issues.

Edit: Also, it seems none of our options are moved over, such as panels shown. Any way for that to be transferred?

If you played with the former TCE version until the update comes out, you should not see any request to process missing journals.

So either you didn't used the build in database transfer of TCE and copied the database files by hand, or you didn't pressed the 'Start Transfer' button at the Database window of the launcher after the scan of the remote database.
You can check the numbers of entries at the database window, e.g. for registered markets, if the transfer was done.

Here again the things, that has to be done:
1. Rename your current TCE folder (e.g. D:\TCE.old).
2. Install the new full TCE Version (e.g. D:\TCE).
3. Run the TCE Launcher.
4. Select Database -> Transfer -> Choose old folder (D:\TCE.old).
5. After scanning, select Start Transfer.

I got an error when clicking on a faction I was tracking. I mean was in the faction tracking panel, and have 3 factions I'm tracking. When I clicked on the third one, the error popped. I had just started tracking it yesterday or the day before. Error:

Found the error, it will be fixed with the next version. Sadly this affects the second selected faction also.

Sorry, but I did play with the old version and followed your steps explicitly. I even reverted to the old version and, interestingly, it also prompted me about journal files. Ignoring that worked OK to get the old version back in place, though.

When I did the transfer of the database, it initially showed the registered stations but then they disappeared after launching. When checking, it reports 0 in the DB field.

Unsure what else to try.

Edit: I just figured I'd check my versions were current otherwise and I hadn't skipped one by mistake. My "old" version is 1.5.5.1 which I updated to over the top of the prior version using the update from the previous release. Let me know if you need me to shoot you over some files or something. It's kind of weird. I've supported DB apps before at MSFT and deal with them now and again for clients as an IT consultant but barring some sort of DB corruption, I haven't seen something quite like this before. Just in case, I made a copy of the old version's files then ran a verify and reattempted the upgrade process. Same issue recurs. Weird, eh?

TCE creating every day of use a backup of your databases (stored at the \Backup folder), so please check them, if you can find the last database containing all of your data.
If you find it, restore the backup by using the 'Restore' button at the Database window of the launcher.

Will do. Stuck on mobile at the moment, but I'll run through them when I can. The odd thing to me is the data's just fine in the old version. Really strange assuming no major changes to the underlying structure of the DB.

You can also make a copy by hand procedure, including the TCE.config and player.data file from the root, if all fails, but I suggest to use the classic way.

Got it via the backups. Had to get back to the one prior to 1.5.5.1 And that did the trick. Lost a few markets (well, half of them) but not the ones that really mattered. Most of the lost ones were for ranking up only and were barely used at all. Thanks for your help!

Running TCE 1.5.6

Appears the Connect issue continues at Registered markets, and new markets added. I continue to see "Update Required" note in the station top panel; however when clicking the connect icon, nothing happens.

Also, when visiting an Asteroid Base, I see the listing in the station type; however, when I choose it, the save button will not appear. I tried other fields and use of the hard return (enter key) to try to show the Save button, but not avail. Also, will a Mega Ship Station Type be added? Docked at a mega ship, but no option to set that station type.

Hmmm... can't recreate, so let's go step by step to isolate the issue.
1. Please send me your database, e.g. via Report an Error button and attach the ErrorReportFiles.7z.
2. Is it everytime the same market, or all markets, planetary and/or space stations? Please give me an example.
3. When pressing the Connect button, you didn't see the messages like Connecting, Connected, Processing, Completed, Storing, Completed? None of them?
4. After a restart of TCE, you can connect and the 'update required' message is removed from the Position display?
5. If all is working again, but after some time the issue reappears, what you did before?

Will add the mega ship with the next update. Changing any market to Asteroid Base will show the SAVE button here, maybe you could send/post a screenshot of the database panel, when entered all data.

Hi Eventure

Just got into a bit of Mining and it's so much fun but something I've found is missing!
when I have one or two orders to fill it would be nice to be able to input the amount I need for against
what I have collected so in the cargo panel where you have the amount that I have collected
could you put a box where I can input the amount I need next to it so I can see at a glance when I have the amount I need.

Just had it happen again, too. Was at Tai Szu, Euthymenes Terminal (planetary). Flew to Kangthitani, Leckie Prospect (planetary) thereafter. Prob persists.
Button is not clickable. Connected flawless after restarting TCE while still docked.
Error file + latest journal incoming.
