Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

New error with latest update

Eventure, running the latest version, had this error when I docked at a station.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I got an error when changing ships. I *think* it was because I didn't let TCE finish what it was doing after I landed, and before changing ships.

Error:

New Fault

Eventure,
Not expecting this, but I needed to add a new Market, so everything was green apart from sector ID, but it gave me the save button, and then presented a nice message over 3-4 lines, saying I missed something. So I tried again and it came back with the same result. The last database you have is a day old, if you need a newer one let me know.
Thanks.

Possible bug in route finder. I can't change the profit/route. It's stuck on 2000 cr no matter what value I enter and press enter, unless I enter an amount more than 2000, then it takes it.

Also in trade overview. When I click on the double arrows to change between 'current' and 'destination', the arrow keeps pointing at the market on the right. Shouldn't it point to the left when it changes to destination?

1. 2000 Cr. is the minimum limit for Profit/Route.
2. Yes, the arrow doesn't change but Current and Destination changes:
Current ==> Destination
Destination ==> Current

There is an issue with the recognition of planetary ports, as I stated above. Please activate the Minimap panel until an update is released.

1. 2000 Cr. is the minimum limit for Profit/Route...
Can you please lower that...like...a lot? I often use the route finder with a 'base' station in mind, usually the one that has the minor faction I'm working for as home. So I'm not usually after a min peak profit, rather 'best available' peak profit, if that makes sense. So in this case, the min limit might be something like 100 cr.

Sry, but that would take too long to calculate, especially with a high number of markets stored in database.
But in your described case, use the trade advisor to find a route from the 'base'. Select a commodity (in Exports), which have a low price in relation to the average price, and select a station in the 'Find Market' section you are comfortable with.

Yes, not quite what I'm after, but I understand what you are saying.

Version [1.6.7.5] released

Changelog:
- Added better placeholder pictures for different planet types (Rocky, Icy, Metal, Gas and Earthlike) to the Cartography and Summary panel.
- Added 'LaunchDrone' event to remove Limpets from the cargo hold.
- Added tooltips for the limits of filter settings at the Route Finder panel.
- Added override buttons for two filter limits (Profit/Route and Star Distance) to the Route Finder panel.
- Fixed a critical issue with the EDDB-Relay, assigning a wrong ID for most stations. Please use the RENEW DATA option at the EDDB-Relay to fix the issue at the registered market database.
- Fixed an issue when using a hotkey to open the Mission panel not sending the focus back to ED.
- Fixed an issue with completed mission not removed from the Mission panel.
- Fixed an issue with the proper detection of planetary ports, if the Minimap panel is deactivated.
- Fixed an issue when claiming bounties through a broker, the percentage for the broker is now removed properly.
- Fixed an issue with some bounty types not recognized.
- Fixed an error on launch when docked at an unregistered station.
- Fixed a conflict with the EDMC update and processing the journal support files at the same time.

Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, spanish or russian to help in translating the
latest interface, common and rare commodities phrases at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

hey all o>

Is there a way to hide the planet label in the camera pictures

3492rgo.jpg

it's a good addition Eventure but can you move it outside the camera shot ?

thanks and awesome work as always :D

Just update to 6.7.5. All went fine. But now every scan I have take so far is throwing out errors. It is a pop up. It's only throwing errors on planets it seems so far.
Says event error

TCE detected an error at the following event: Scan.

Error message: object reference not set to an instance of an object

It then does on with an event debug that lists all the planet scan information.

I made and error report. Will get it over to you in a bit. Going to finish my trip back from palin and see if it happens every time.

Ok so it has happened a handful of times, mostly pleadies systems and a couple surrounding. Stars all scanned fine. It was only the closest planets to the stars each time. Including one that was a binary set of planets. Ice, gas both threw the error too. Distance didn't matter. Range from 100ls to several k ls.

Edit. Ok I was wrong. Idk what's going on lol. I guess I didn't notice TCE wasn't accepting scans the whole time. Current location seemed to update but I'm not sure. But I just landed, it's not detecting the port, and it appears to be throwing out an error for every scan I did that seemed fine and processing scans through even reporter right now.

Going to let it do its thing then make another error report and send them both on over. It appeared to be every single planet scan, not stars. And it processed all the new systems, scans and everything once I landed. Station came up and it connected after it processed the back log. TCE was never exited after the first set of errors. Sending two error files to you.

Seems to be impossible now to open factions tab when entering a system... is the data not updated anymore? Only after updating a market?

I did the 'renew' check box when I updated to 1675, but I still get 'false market' warnings, and TCE wants to 'click to add location' while docked at the 'false market'. This one is in 86 mu herculis, planetary outpost name 'Cole Oasis'. Will send db.

When I exit TCE and restart while still docked at that port, it found the port and added it.

I also noticed in the Summary panel that the 'state' is shown as (space)state when the system state is 'none'. I think it wants to say 'no state' or 'state: none', but there's a space there instead before the word "state".

Now I'm at a space port, and TCE is telling me I can trade mineral extractors and power generators from where I'm at to another starport. But the port I'm at doesn't sell either. It looks like all the commodity data is wrong, actually. The port is 'Kidman Settlement' in 41 Gamma Serpentis. I verified the db, and everything was ok, except outfitting, so I clicked on repair and then verified it again, and it was ok. When TCE started up again, it now had the correct data for the commodities at Kidman Settlement. Weird.

Hello, all smart guys here :)
Trying to use this awesome looking tools and I have little question about first setup. Can't find answer anywhere :(.
After launch is there a journal import, wich is really slow for me, like maybe 20 minutes per journal. 250+ journals left :(. It's my fault or it's normal?
Also, if canceled, how could be re-scan initiated? Next launch there is no journal import except i edit player.data -> LastJournalTimeStamp="" LastSession="" (probably one item is sufficient).
Thanks for any answer

Also, if canceled, how could be re-scan initiated? Next launch there is no journal import except i edit player.data -> LastJournalTimeStamp="" LastSession="" (probably one item is sufficient).
Thanks for any answer

Well the only response I can give is yes the journal processing is normal. It's basically TCE getting its information, and it does this from your journals mostly. It's just doing this since you've never run it before. If you start using TCE and then ever run an ED session without TCE running it will have more journals to process, one for every session you started without it.

When this pops up its best to just TCE process them all. The good news is once your initial one is done it will e much quicker starting it, as long as you don't do too many ED sessions without TCE.

As for anything else you asked, or any more information I'm sorry idk.

Thank you for quick answer. That's bad news. It seems like initial update will last for week(s). I hope rest of program is written better then that, because parsing text file is written pretty terrible then. :( It sould be matter of minutes at max... Not speaking about SSD disk i have, because it really shouldn't be matter.
