Trade REP Arrows going crazy

Yup. I'm trying to do Naval Rank, and it's impossible to trigger a mission because the factions I had already got to Allied are back down again, and I'm not sure where they are. The system I'm in offers me missions that reduce faction elsewhere in the Empire by killing their citizens, RES sites spawn Wanted NPCs from any faction now, so if you want to earn any money with the much slower spawn you end up killing the faction you once would have supported, and generally the entire reputation system bounces around insanely and illogically as you have all seen.

Honestly, how any one on the forums could still feel they could defend this increasingly bug ridden mess is beyond me; I WANT to love this latest Elite, but by gawd it's hard work plowing through all the broken systems and repetitive content.

Since 1.3 I have noticed rep arrows dropping more and more quickly after I have logged off (over night for example). With 1.3 I would say rep deterioration rate from inactivity has increased (it always used to very slowly) - maybe too quickly now? - I don't see any direct correlation with PP changes but it is (and has always been) hard to know what other players are doing in your chosen system(s).

If i log off during my trade run the cycle starts form the beginning, first no arrows, then red arrows and in the end blue arrows.

If you are trading, I would recommend trying to run a few trade missions for a single faction (I tended to choose the one with the most influence in the system in the first place) and then take on whatever cargo you need to fill up the remaining space.

For me the system currently looks broken, so iam not doing anything else what has something to do with reputation. Iam doing my last 20 millions and then i wait until this mess is fixed.

luckly cqc the next big thing for elite is triggert to the end of the year, so i bet i dont see the federal corvette before that. So i have time to wait to make the needed cash and rank.

Except this thread is not about Powerplay but Faction Rep changes since 1.3 and how best to deal with them.

Therefore your attempt to throw in a completely unnecessary, unproductive and unhelpful comment about PP having bugs is trolling IMO.

That's a load of tosh IMO. FD did not build 1.3 on an older version of ED - It is normal development that old bugs are sometimes un-fixed by new content, new bugs are introduced and balancing sometimes goes wrong - this is quite normal for software that is in continual development. No one builds new content or fixes on top of an old version.

However this (again) has nothing to do with what we are discussing here. Please stop trying to derail a discussion about rep changes since 1.3 into a whine about general bugs in PP or 1.3.

Ok I get you about me replying with wrong info about this thread. But please sir stop trolling my posts.

It is bugged hence why I don't play Powerplay. Apart from its end of game add on as they is no benefits of playing POWERPLAY until you have done everything else and filthy rich and bored. I having been playing since last October and still only in a Python. I have tried all different jobs in ED so I am not filthy rich yet. I expect I will be by some time next year. Only then will I want to commit to certain part of the galaxy and do Powerplay. Most people I speak to who are playing Powerplay complain that certain things don't work mostly rep etc. So my comment stands POWERPLAY is bugged. I am not a troll.

I am playing since last July and I am still in Cobra :)

Nice, last day Patch changed something, now i just get red arrows... very nice. Iam starting to get annoyed how the game throws stones onto you if you want to make progress. I used that route for decades and never got negetive reputation on it ^^.

btw anythink known if the last patch fixed the naval progress missions?

Agree the rep changes are bugged, it was fine as it was in 1.2 IMO. Example, pre 1.3 I'm allied with a minor faction to get a permit. Post 1.3 and I'm suddenly only friendly. All I did was upgrade to 1.3.
