HI,
can i check is this dead ? as i've been offline for a bit due to my health and have just tried using it but getting loads of dotnet errors .. i think they may be down to use 4.6.1 and not 4.5 etc as i do have all the files pointing the right way and the =1 in the xml for the netlog

ifso anyone got a good replacement as i did love this gui

No, its not dead. The only thing that doesn't work is the C button which should put the current system in the From box - it now puts the co-ordinates there which is of no use at all. The from box has to be completed manually. Other than that, it still works. Post your error messages here and someone may be able to help get it going again. How long have you been away?

about 3mths unhappy ( 13 weeks as just got my faction 13k pay ) lol ,

luckily i've worked it out
it was due to a error in AppConfigLocal.xml file and not the normal AppConfig.xml for some reason ...i had 14 lines of VerboseLogging="1" stuck in it
it's odd as i had abit of the same problem before when i rechecked my posts in here , but confused as to why i keep getting the same odd bug
but thanks for letting me know about the "c" button problem

One thing I have noticed is that although the C button doesn't work properly, sytems and stations that you set as a favourite by using CTRL Enter remain in the drop down Source list as names. Handy if there are a handful of places that you tend to go to a lot!

Thanks to both of you for the info and help i did try to both + rep you but it seems i rep'd Cmdr Ibizan before and for some reason even after been off for a bit of time it would let me do it again ..but thanks guys

one thing i've noticed since starting to use this again is that i'm get error on the new items added to the game : WARNING: import.prices:40129 ERROR Unrecognized item name: "LOW TEMPERATURE DIAMOND" etc , i did some googling and it said replace the items csv file to solve this problem from http://www.davek.com.au/td i've done this twice so far, but so far i have but still getting it any idea's of to where i'm screwing up , and the amount of changes ingame is a bit hard to get my head around

I was getting the same problem when downloading the csv direct from madavo site but this post gave me a working items.csv https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=34986&p=3960686&viewfull=1#post3960686

Also are you using the new TradeDangerous horizons version https://bitbucket.org/bgol/tradedangerous/branch/horizon

it fixed the errors
i manually downloaded and replace the files and it seems to be working ,
thanks a load for the links and the help once again :)

i just need to workout how to add this branch to source tree as only just getting my head around that so it will auto update

on the righthand side of the page https://bitbucket.org/bgol/tradedangerous/branch/horizon click the [Check Out] dropdown and select [Checkout in Sourcetree] that should do it.

a field where we can put further parameters (e.g. --no-planet) would also be nice + the bug fixes we need (like get actual station) . . .

i can not code, otherwise i would fork it and work a bit on it . . .

TDHelper already has a field for extra parameters. When run is selected, click on the misc settings gear icon - there is a field called "Run parameters". I put --no-planet there.

The TDHelper GUI has not get any updates in the last year and I don't think someone is still working on it. WombatfromHells last post in this forum was on 07/09/2015.
Due to changes in the netlog format the program was not able to read the Pilot's log anymore. I created a fork of the source code and updated the netlog function. The new package is available here: https://bitbucket.org/olklei/trade-dangerous-helper-horizon/

Hi Olklei, it did need a bit of an update! Thanks for picking it up from where WombatfromHell left it. I'll give it a try tonight.

Sorry, didn't get a chance to try it out till last night, but I couldn't get it to work. Double-clicking the exe file did nothing at all! I asked my brother to get him to download and run it and it is working fine so it must be something to do with my PC. I've been putting off doing a re-install of windows 10 for a while as there are a couple of other things that aren't quite right, so I might do that and try your new version then.

thanks for updating this! will test soon - having issues with ED ATM so cant launch the game
