Trailblazer outposts and stations produce?

So, one i build a station or a planetary installation, will they produce goods in their chosen area, or will it all be dependant on system economy?

If i build an extraction and a scientific, will they have their own set of produced goods?

Does this help?

I assume they're types of settlement rather than of system? So it's able to create trade routes inside a system?
No it depends on your neighbors

Then combine what they have with your economy. See if the trading data you can purchase in-game can help you out further

Yeah I'm not building anymore until I understand what to build for my system type lol. I have three ringed bodies, all of differing ring types (metal rich, rocky and icy) and all have pretine reserves and hazard resource zones. Certainly I should be building a refinery for the minerals but where?

I take it that means you didn’t/couldn’t set the price?
No, it belongs to the controlling faction, not me.

We are just architects, hired by whatever faction sold us the contract to develop the system, so no 'control' over anything bar that which we choose to construct.

Yes - and fewer pirates around in supercruise to start with, too.

Also seems to affect the shape of the faction security slider making certain background states more or less likely.
A theoretical question: anarchy factions' missions targetting the nearby systems are lowering the controller factions security bar, even in some cases until a Lockdown state. With so small populations it can happen even in 1 day, we have made some Lockdowns this way 😁
Is that possible to disable a Colonisation Contact service through a Lockdown, and block any others from colonising more area around?

Hard to test while the contacts are disabled everywhere...

The new colonies seem to have very jumpy state bars - lots of them seem to end up in Investment+Lockdown at the slightest movement. Possibly too easily in both cases, given how difficult Investment normally is to obtain.

Has anybody determined if there is any production advantage to the placement of facilities within a system?

1. Is there any value to placing facilities on the same planet/orbit? Or anywhere in the system?

2. Is there any value to placing similar facilities (Example: Tech & Industry) to produce specific items on the same planet/orbit? Or anywhere in the system?

3. Is it necessary to achieve even minimal values of the Security/Tech/Wealth/StandardofLiving/Developement indexes to improve production? Or does heavily weighted indexes in a certain direction work just fine? (Example: Does industry need wealth to do better? Does tourism need security to do better?)
