Transaction error when upgrading suit

Alpha vibe again.
Probably some stolen/mission sourced item is blocking the transaction.
Game seems to ignore the fact that you have enough legit items to upgrade if you have stolen/mission items of this type too.
Power regulator maybe?
In alpha getting rid of items I have suspected may be flagged somehow usually allowed me to get though this problem.
If you have some items needed for upgrade double listed in storage tab on ship, try to sell the one that you have in smaller amount.
e.g if you have
health monitor 8
health monitor 2
Sell those 2 to bartender (they will be listed here separately too) and try to upgrade again (relog/restart before retrying just in case).
Repeat until you succeed... or have no suspicious items anymore.
PS. Oh, there were some absurds in alpha like:
I could not upgrade suit using items I got as mission REWARD (legit)
But
I could upgrade using stolen items (in phase 4, not before that).

About "cleaning" items (in Alpha):
When I was salvaging items from crashed ship they sometimes got "stolen" flag (I got a popup "you have stolen items blablabla").
TRANSFERRING them to SRV seemed to clean this flag - they were not flagged anymore after transferring back to backpack.
It's all hit and miss, testing, drawing conclusions and testing them again
Do you have any items double-listed?
go to storage/items(or was it goods?) tab on ship and check if you have anything looking like this:
health monitor 8
health monitor 2
OR
any items listed with BLUE background?
I am not at home and can't make any screenshots at the moment to show exactly what I mean.

I do have 2 items for missions a power regulator, and a vehicle schematic, the only thing double listed is the vehicle schematic, the normal one and the mission one, nothing in there is marked as stolen.
I did have an issue where i lost all my missions for odyssy i had, and i still have the mission items for them.

Get rid of the blue "suit schematic" and try again.
It was EXACTLY what I have done in alpha when I got transaction error while trying to upgrade suit (on several stations over several hours)
and it helped instantly.
IMO it's worth the risk.
No, like I said I don't think that's the issue here. What I'm saying is the "illegal items don't work in upgrades" was an alpha 1 issue that has pretty much been confirmed to not be true for reality and also never resulted in a transaction error (it just didn't let you do it).
So maybe the mission item not working for upgrades issue? That was still an issue in alpha although it just never let me do it.
I dont have a mission suit schematic.
The only mission schematic i have is a vehicle schematic.
Take all salvage missions you can find and try to get a "non-blue" power regulator from crashed ship/SRV you will be redirected to.
You can even try relogging at POI until you get an intact PR
(you can see it from SRV contacts: its either DEGRADED PR or just PR - the latter is what you are looking for).

Well actually not allowing to upgrade using PRs you get for free to restore power has some sense - people were abusing this option.
Of course FD managed to fix one problem by causing even more bugs in the process.
Like blocking upgrades with PRs that you got as mission REWARD - they cleanest, most legit PR you can actually find in this game THEORETICALLY
