Transfer All To Ship option in the Inventory Tab?

So I assume this is just plain broken as it never seems to do anything. It would be 'nice' if it actually filled the cargo space with a selected material from the FCs stored goods... As it is, you have to transfer the materials the long way by using the arrow transfer from FC to Ship, which is a real bind on a large ship like a Cutter or T9. I would like to be able to select the material and then fill the ships cargo with the chosen goods from the FCs storage.

Is this ever going to be a thing? Or do we just have a lame broken button on the screen for the hell of it showing what a crap bit of programming FDev did with the FCs?

I hope the dev team will have more time to deal with the half-finished FCs after releasing Odyssey and dealing with whatever bugs that will bring up. Plus, I hope it will be a large team, at last, not a skeleton crew like recent months.

FCs need a lot of love. Details like the one you mention, and like the lack of features of the plot router (i.e. to allow more than a single jump routes plotted) need to bee addressed.

I think the "transfer all" only works if its everything in the carriers cargo can fit in the ships cargo.
They would need to add and individual "transfer all" for each item, rather than the current transfer of all cargo from one container(ship) to another.

Making the Filter remember what it was set at would be helpful too. I have hundreds of different Items on my carrier now. Having to scroll through 2 or 3 hundred items to reach the one you want is a pain.

It seems they also need to check the items we an place on the market, no point having items that can or cannot be, found in the game currently.

Not to mention all the mistakes of the Journal when it comes to output of what is being bought and sold. for use on external sites, as the ingame market tools are total {redacted}

"Transfer all to ship" is about as well done as having no "Replenish fuel from hold" option in the Tritium depot...

FD can really make you wonder sometimes...

Transfering all my goods from my Ship to the Carrier works OK, I use it all the time............never seen the Transfer all from Carrier to Ship highlighted yet - though Iv never had soo little in my Carrier for this to function.

I presume it fails to work when the FC has more cargo than the ship? I can't transfer to ship, only the other way round. I have far more stored on my FC than I could ever fit in a ship.

But I agree, the whole transfer interface needs improvement. I don't particularly mind needing to transfer the tritium manually by pressing the arrow. I do mind that I need to keep that arrow pressed for a long time to watch the stuff slowly move over...

OP, I agree 100%. Nothing like hauling 10,000 tons of gold with my FC, going to a system to sell it and filling up my 720T Cutter one gold bar at a time. I believe that is what they call "immersion". You can just imagine how slow it is loading all of that heavy gold.

Wow! Slow...

I just set up a sell order at minimum price, much quicker to fill the Cutter and the credits are all my own anyway...

That button was put there for Fleet Carriers, way back before there were Fleet Carriers. It transfers all your modules to your Fleet Carrier.

How smart was that for Frontier, to anticipate in the future, that we would have FC's and need that button.

Yes.

So far, there has been exactly one occasion where everything in my Carrier would fit in my ship, and on that one occasion, the option was highlighted.

This is my main issue atm ... filling a T9 with Tritium prior to a jump to reduce the FC jump mass... Its a royal pain that this isn't a one button affair...
