I would chooseView attachment 276958
We need more Triassic representation. If you were to pick only five Triassic animals, which would they be? I picked these for name recognition, and having history in the JP franchise.
1. Dimetrodon
2. Tanystropheus
3.Postosuchus
4.Plateosaurus
5.Pliosaurus
Well most of the animals pictured here aren't actually dinosaurs, and several didn't live in the Triassic period unfortunately. Dimetrodon was a synapsid that lived in the early Permian. But I agree the Triassic is vastly underrepresented.View attachment 276958

Pisanosaurus's claim to being a dinosaur, let alone an Ornithischian, may be dubious though... many seem to think of it as a dinosauriform, closer to Silesaurus...Well most of the animals pictured here aren't actually dinosaurs, and several didn't live in the Triassic period unfortunately. At this point, the game has only three categories of animals (1) dinosaurs, (2) pterosaurs, and (3) marine reptiles (plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs, and mosasaurs). I would assume a Triassic pack would be limited to these categories as well. So with that said, I would like to see:
This list would provide a good mix of herbivores, carnivores, pterosaurs, and marine reptiles and would include some well-known species.
- Plateosaurus- there are no prosauropods in the game yet! Plateosaurus is one of the best known Triassic dinosaurs.
- Pisanosaurs- the pack would need a small Ornithischian. Small herbivorous ornithischians were the most common type of dinosaur, and amongst the 60+ species of dinosaur, we only have one in the whole game right now (Dryosaurus)!
- Staurikosaurus- similar to Herrerasaurus, but smaller. The pack would need a carnivorous dinosaur, and Staurikosaurus is one of the more well-known Triassic dinosaurs.
- Shonisaurus- perhaps the largest marine reptile, and a second icthyosaur for the game.
- Peteinosaurus- there are no early pterosaurs in the game. Peteinosaurus would be the smallest pterosaur and would be unique in that regard.
All true. Pisanosaurus might not be a dinosaur, let alone an ornithischian. But it also might be both. But Stygimoloch and Dracorex aren't even valid genera and they're both included in the game.Pisanosaurus's claim to being a dinosaur, let alone an Ornithischian, may be dubious though... many seem to think of it as a dinosauriform, closer to Silesaurus...
Staurikosaurus... I dunno... I can't help but feel like there are better options out there besides a smaller Herrerasaurus. I still stand by Eoraptor... it may now be considered a primitive sauropodomorph (some even consider it too primitive to count as sauropod or theropod) but it still has the dentition and probably diet of a predator.
And Peteinosaurus is so small that seeing it, let alone keeping it under control if they got loose, would be a major pain. A better option might be Eudimorphodon... it's pretty close to Dimophodon in size and, despite the name, quite distinct from anything currently in game.

You know, Mussaurus is a dinosaur that did appeared in the original The Lost World novel by Michael Crichton. That's really the big reason I can think of to include it as a suggestion, other than having a series of toy figures of it by Mattel.Mussaurus - semi-famous for being thought to be tiny dinos but we know now that those were just the babies, adults reached 20 feet in length so a bit smaller than Plateosaurus, could look, stand and move like this:

There are other pterosaurs that I like to suggest here, which is already suggested by someone else in this thread by the way. The Raeticodactylus, or the related Caviramus, the former which is questioned and uncertain if both it and the latter species are one of the same, but the skull of Raeticodactylus is more well known in comparison to Caviramus and as such, is used as a basic idea of what the latter pterosaur may have looked like.Pterosaurs:
The only one that would work is Caelestiventus, which we know a lot about thanks to a well-preserved specimen, a juvenile with a 4.9-foot wingspan which means its adult size could be about 10-12 feet, around the Tapejara's size.
