Luckily I've pretty much lost interest in "said game" since it's apparently gone all PvP-centric. Bleurgh. Can't see it taking away much of my ED play time.
Ditto. I Got the same invite. Looking forward to said game but ED will always take preference - and I've been waiting for that a lot longer.
LOL Same here - I got a "Stress Test Beta" Invite email yesterday, running from 18:00 EST Friday to 23:59 EST Sunday (will these Americans ever learn to use the 24 hour clock?)
I might get an hour before the missus comes home on Friday (I'm taking her out), and then I'm away Saturday/Sunday lol so I'll probably just play with the Character Creator
Still if E: D update Alpha on Thursday - well, I'll have all day Friday to test it

So you have an invite for something else. Take your pick which you would prefer if we get something new here also. Your choice and to me it is no choice, actually to even suggest delaying here for anything else means your priorities are there and not here.
What you should have said:
if we get a new alpha release for Elite Dangerous to test this weekend, this other game that wants my time just has to live without it, this is more important.
If that isn't the case then play what you want but never even suggest we wait because of another game. Just wrong on so many levels.

I was hyped about ESO a year ago... I'm so tired of fantasy games though anymore.
I have the ESO invite too (can everyone stop being so precious about mentioning it on a closed forum?)
But if Alpha 2 drops, I know what I'll be playing.
Anyway, Alpha 2 will be up longer than the ESO stress test will be, so I don't see any issues.

computer games are great eh? virtual worlds to explore. wether as a mighty warrior slaughtering the hordes with a magic sword or an intrepid bounty hunter tracking miscreants across the lave system.....its all just fantasy.
