Without being pedantic - Tritium can be found in any icy ring, not always high % rocks, but I don't think I have not found it on any of the icy belts I have visited; naturally higher % rocks will be found in hotspots. I think the best yield I have had from a single rock has been 26t from 4 SSD's...The point I was originally trying to make, and obviously failed at, is that Tritium as a fuel would make more sense if you were mining something more common.
I don't even have a carrier, but I see at least three threads most of the time about Tritium being too uncommon.
From an economics standpoint, you don't use something that is not a viable resource unless it is the only choice.
In this case, why would you mine Tritium when you can get it much more efficiently from other more readily available sources or processes.
It is plentiful, but not in the high % range that, say, Painite can be found in. The main gripe I read, so often, is that FC owners actually don't wish to mine for fuel... Rather the FC propel itself across the galaxy on Fairy Dust or something that will go on forever
