Apparently it can be done but you have to watch faction / system states to predict where it will be. I don't really understand what those states are / should be but I'm sure there's someone on here that does. If you just rely on 3rd party tools like Inara you could be too late and miss out.So to rephrase.....how do I get tritium that doesnt involve mining painite. Can I buy it for 4k somewhere? Or has that ship most definitely sailed?
I was going to say, questions about fueling a carrier seem like an automatic disqualification from the Newcomer forum!perhaps this should be in ships and engineers?
I was still getting used to having a carrier and mining with it so I didnt go there and I figured there would be more soon!! Perhaps not! I got zero.Umm, Hawknerd, right after you got your carrier, I told you where a lot of cheap tritium was but you were too busy mining lmao
Osissi, remember? There was tens of thousands of tons of it, not on Inara for days. Did you get any of it??????????

They have a few units as soon as 100 carriers have stripped it clear and even scratched the paint from old watches. When you use the tools available ingame to find them you can get there before the masses that just follow pointers on inara or some other 3rd party site arrive. 40k units or more is enough to fill your carrier, and the production can even keep up with a few CMDRs loading there. Just not 100s.Don't the super cheap station s only have a few units anyway? You need huge quantities.
And if you plan on actually flying your carrier out into the black, you'll have to mone at some point - even a full tank will run out eventually.
