True economy: Will it ever come?

Bvaddr!!!!!
Prices are utterly static!!!
I have hauled mor than 60 mill credits worth of Palladium to one port , the still insist of paying 1700 cr/t for the stuff... I think they eat it..
And mind I am not alone: ships visited: 88 (not including myself) Credits just roll in..:D (Now I know how Bill Gates must have felt it : do I want to make anything today: nahh)
Please FD let us invest in shares also,so we can the points of fixing this game away and just use a spreadsheet....
Ehhh sarcasm off
And Titus Balls please write some useless stuff its getting boring with all the sense you make, and it is wasted on the Plebs (Latin.. Lookup :))
This weekend I plan to try to make 100 mil credits... Can it be done... I dont know.
I have stocked up on Vintage Rum, Belgian Beer, High Cuisine Foods, some snacks and popcorn. This is the ultimate test. Will i submit to utter boredom or will I succeed ?
The question is open.. My Health is good, I am not young, perhaps "younger" :D , will I manage this..
I have the Courage, I have the Will, Does FD have the NPC'S...
Human against game , Can he endure the utter demoralizing boredom and achieve his goals.
I will film this in widescreen 3D so you all (FREE) can enjoy my endaevours!!

Cheers Cmdr's

Elite : No Point

There will never be a true economy in Elite because nothing is produced. There are no consequences for trading, no consumption of resources in-game that has any effect. Simple buy and sell mechanics don't create an economy. There was a superb blog post "review" on ED last month which highlighted this perfectly. For example, the whole Seeking Luxuries debate; being able to transport Enhancers en masse to these traders who seem to have an infinite cargo hold...

This. You can not have an economy since NOTHING is produced, or consumed. They are all 'widgets' that exist purely for players to make money trading. Factions don't need the stuff, they never run out of money, even after having 1,000 anacondas blown up.

Smoke and mirrors, little else.
