Trying to install updates thru Oculus..... spoiler cant.

so click on elite from oculus home, it brings up the launcher, and also a window saying take off vr headset and update launcher, but there is no option on the launcher to update once you do.

still have normal version of elite installed. it let me install new launcher, but now asking for verification code, says it has sent it to my email address, but nothing being sent, sigh.

the update isn't live yet so there is nothing to download yet. Verification code should come through tough, make sure you not mixed up email adresses and looked at the wrong place, if it didn't come to the email adress you gave fd then contact support.

I've installed the new launcher too - I did get an email and validated it. It won't show update until the servers are back though. Patience. Try the tutorials and check your Controls (mine were messed up badly). Then wait

What email service do you use? The verification emails have been known to be blocked by some email providers.

I would try seeing if you can download the launcher, then move it to oculus Apps\Software\frontier-developments-plc-elite-dangerous As mentioned above check spam for verification.

It may well be that Oculus installs the new launcher as part of the whole update.
