No, that one is only for the idle animations. Seems that FD forced this animation upon us. And it's REALLY distracting in VR when you're not using hand-yaw
No it isn't.
Yes, it is.
Some of us don't like to have boxes strapped to our faces so it doesn't bother us.![]()
Back to the topic. If you don't use VR, the animation is not necessary either. The animation was made for VR. But it's distracting if you use feet-rudder.
What the hell is wrong with you guys
Personally I think that complaining about a window-dressing animation in a virtual reality depiction of an imaginary spaceship in an imaginary galaxy by an imaginary pilot via some rather expensive electronics equipment is the epitome of a first-world problem.
Don't have a cow man, we are just teasing.
(... but to further ruin your immersion can I just say "friendship drive charging".)
The only thing I find a little irritating is that the animation for roll/yaw in the Cockpit is reversed for me (T. Flight HOTAS X).
When I move my HOTAS left, the animation yaws left.
When I yaw my HOTAS left, the animation turns left.
Not exactly very important though as I only see it when I headlook down.

In game the ship is steered like that i don't see a problem with it being there.
I love this feature, personally, since I use twist-yaw on my HOTAS. It matches what I'm doing with my hands, which is great.
But I see how it could be annoying if you use rudder pedals. Maybe just adding a toggle in the settings for this would be the best solution.
