RCT 3 PC turning-off nighttime??

hi peeps!

I know you can turn-off "nighttime" in sandbox-mode,
but I would like to do the same in a custom scenerio,
is it possible??

thnx!:)

From memory I don't think you can turn off nighttime altogether (at least I don't recall seeing an option for it).

What I've done in the past is set the park opening times such that the park never gets beyond dusk. 8am through to 8pm might do the job. It's been a while since I last played with the scenario editor.

"skip the night" isnt possible on sandbox mode, only on the scenario editor. in the first window that opens when you click on set park land button, you will se something like:

Open Time: 7:00
Closing Time: 2:00

You just need to change the closing time. put it to 18:30 and then when six thirty comes, the game will skip the night.

You also can change the open time to 19:30, and your park will skip the morning, and the afternoom! This is usefull for spooky-themed parks.

does anyone know of any cheats or hacks to disable night time?

i purchased the digital download of rtc3 platinum, and there is no way to patch the issue that results in the 2.7 fps during night time bug, so disabling night time would at least allow me to play some unplayable scenerios...

anyone?

There isn't such a cheat, you would need to edit the scenrios in the Scenario Editor to change the opening times as described in the previous post to yours.

Michael

ok, maybe i didnt understand the post prior to mine

are you saying i can open any scenerio that cames in rtc3 and its 2 expansions in a scenerio editor, and change park hours to remove night time?

if so, would it just be for the ability to "play the scenerio" as opposed to beating the scenerio and unlocking the the unlockables?

if not, i suppose i could use cheats to get the official scenerios to unlock everything for access and then just do the scenerios as "custom scenerios"

so i guess what i am asking is, can i edit the scenerios built in the game as custom scenerios to remove the night time modes?

and use the cheats to unlock all the unlockables as a workaround?

thanks for your answer, i am amazed (in a really good way) at how quickly you responded!

thanks !

You can edit the scenarios, but you'll need to copy them from you campaigns folder into your parks folder so you can edit them. I suspect (I've never tried it) that if you then copy them back into the scenarios folder you can continue to play them as part of your campaign. Note that you'll need to save the scenario after you start it to be able to copy them, or look for the original base files in the install folder for RCT3.
