The prefix of a name is something i have no problem ignoring.
If all i would need a mod to change for an animal would be the name, then i can also just change that in my head and im good.
Theres no formosian black bear, no west african lion, no american beaver and especally no wild water buffalo, just an asiatic black bear, a lion, a beaver and a domestic water buffalo

That's not really my point - even if you put up signs in your zoo saying "European beaver" the animal list is still going to say "North American beaver", and there's nothing that can change that (well, beyond a mod). It pretty much breaks immersion.

Fair enough but, TBH, I barely notice - it certainly doesn’t break immersion (for me).
