Impact on game: Annoying quite inconvenient
Version Found: PC Horizons 2.02
Frequency: Always.
Time and date of issue: About 10-12 PST
Commander name: Taylor Swift
Description:
Before the Horizons expansion, completing a scan on a planet would display basic information e.g. "High metal content," or "Ice world." Now scanning a landable planet will immediately show only the approach interface. Even the text info box in the interface's upper right hand corner reveals nothing about the body scanned except that the scan is complete. This means that in order to find out anything about the planet you just scanned, even if it is presently targeted, you must open the system map and navigate to that planet to view any relevant information. This is obviously a step backwards in UI usability. This problem could be solved by delaying the approach interface, showing the approach interface only under certain conditions, or even adding a notification in the text alert box.
This issue is annoying by itself, but it is only exacerbated by the second bug. The system map does not remember which tab was open on the info tab, so when the system tab is opened it defaults to system info which is much less useful than body info. This is also new to the Horizons update.
