I don't see the point of A-rating the powerplant, thrusters, distributor, sensors on a T9 - just makes it heavy so that you expose yourself to more hops and more potential for interdictions between trading stations.

Even A-rated it can't outmaneuver, outrun or outshoot anything in the game. There was a T9 thread where a very competent player - more skilled than me for sure - failed to kill an NPC in a heavily combat-specced T9, and that was even with the lucky matchup of an unladen missile-gunboat T9 against an NPC with zero point defences.

Just don't bother trying to spec it for combat. Until it gets some love from FD it's an unarmed trader that's better at jumping away from any conflict than trying to engage. Python and the big 3 are all that can mass-lock it. The MLF is literally its only viable defense, now that mines are practically useless.
