Howdy.
On my old Xbox One I could have the the Xbox Console Companion app open on my laptop when playing ED, and whenever I selected a text entry box on the galaxy map etc I was able to use the laptop's keyboard to input directly into ED.
I now have a shiny new Series X. Yay. But this doesn't work any more. Boo.
The Console Companion app seems only to recognise the Xbox One by default, it can't see the Series X unless I manually enter its IP address. It then sees it, but the app no longer reacts when I select a text entry box. There's a newer Xbox app on the Windows app store, also the Xbox Game Bar app, but unless I'm missing something obvious neither of these pass keyboard input to the Xbox.
A USB keyboard works, but I miss being able to copy & paste system names from Inara etc directly into ED. Yep, first world problems and all that, I know.
Does anybody out there in the ED hive mind know of another method to get the Series X/S to recognise keyboard input from a PC on the same network?
