U16

Also glad to see FDEV is focusing on the priority things: 'Added some new cup props to certain social areas (which are technically "zero-g" environments) to mostly avoid the issue of having un-capped beverages in these areas' - Personally I think investing effort into this is 1,000,000% a waste of time - even investing effort to comment on this in the release notes is a waste of effort - but FDEV see this is high priority.
In terms of "Odyssey complaint threads addressed", that one is way above several of the actual bug-fixes, though.

A selection (and there are a lot more out there if you count complaint posts within other threads, too)

Just because you and I don't see this as a priority doesn't mean there aren't (or weren't, anyway - two years later they may have given up and quit...) at least tens of forum posters really annoyed about how the zero-G concourses and rotational-G concourses had the same props.

One thing to consider about hurr durr only more goids:
Thargoids have been central part of the elites story for a long time, werent they? And this is what the game has been heading into and preparing for for years. Have you considered that this isnt a situation "aliens being brought into my explorer game" but instead it is "war with aliens game is finally culminating"?
Tldr
You have been allowed peaceful life in a war driven game for years. Time to take up arms. Or something :p

The thing is that it's all a big fat lie... There is artificial gravity in the game, one just has use one's eyes to see it everywhere. In fact even our suites have artificial gravity built in, otherwise how would we walk normally on low gravity planets and moons. The real reason we get the magnetic boots message, is that management got so many complaints about bunny jumping commanders in the concourses that they had to put a stop to it.. :)

I always get that John Carter scene stuck in my head thinking about that!

It is a priority. No one wants their beer floating out of the glass.

Seems like FDEV approach is: New content - but not for you console plebs
Are you a time traveler from the past?
New content but only for those that engage in the 'evolving narrative'; New content but only for those born on a day without the letter 'y' in it, a month with the letter 'w' in it and a year that has 29 days in February but isnt a leap year.
You should read the patch notes.

For years thargoids were extremally shallow content, just "go to 1 place in whole galaxy (ok, after some time to 2 and finally 3 places), hunt signals thousands ls away to hunt ONE alien in 1vs1 duel".
So now I have no problem with focusing on AX, adding new activities, which can help war effort (personally I love fact, that pure combat isn't only option now), modules, which put entry bar slighty lower (moar dakka, gimballed AX dakka and better scanner is first example, another can be planetary CZs which we had for some time, much easier due to no swarms). Currently AX in my opinion is much more better, depper, and more diverse. AX folks deserved for it. (and all other people, since as I said- now you can support humanity with trade, passenger runs, SaR and even sampling). And to be honest, each new thargoid ship add more interesting details and mechanics, than any ship for players.

Even not saying, that old content still exist, in peak moment thargoids took only 1% of systems at distance of 250ly to sol. I still can do everything, what I did year ago.

The only positive spin I can put on Frontier’s strategy is that they think they can’t go toe to toe with Starfield, so are keeping a low profile at the moment.
I just hope that the lack of content in U16 is due to Starfield, and that the really hard-hitting content is in U17. They will have time during the Starfield tsunami to prepare something that will motivate them to return to ED. You can even take advantage of the Starfield effect on new players from space worlds, to attract new players to ED
