I almost gave the answer away that's probably why he edited my post after I edited it who knows I can't remember anymore who cares anyway 1 single post isn't going to give me anymore credibility than what I have right now.

I can post my private conversion with the moderator from my inbox who asked me to confirm it with Edward Lewis if you want ? I mean it's not going to change anything, y'all don't believe me anyway or do you ?

I have no clue I don't read the rules, I'm not very forum pro-active it's my first time here (lies) if it's agaisn't the rules then I won't spoil it for everybody else I've been pretty nice so far lol.

I agree this tinfoil-hatting is funny lol some people are getting angry hahaha !

Ok, what can you do with salvage in game? You can sell it. I know that this has been suggested before but due to the scarcity of the damn things people developed a "my precious" attitude toward them. Not surprising, I would have done too.

But now we seem to have a endless supply of them (relatively). Maybe it's time to start to focus the efforts on mass selling of them? Have we actually sold one?

Perhaps you don't know but one UA was sold in Leonard Nimoy's "for the sake of whales".

EDIT : @LordZoltan, you pretty much answered yourself in this post do you expect this riddle to be lasting forever, FD is eventually going to add more stuff to do and more lore it's only a matter of time.

You sound like this is the only way you are going to enjoy the game. This game has a really good community and you will find something else to do believe me because the answer to this puzzle doesn't lead to anything exceptional or game changing believe me when I say that.

You can over-analyse me all you want it won't change the facts.

Not over-analysing - just saying how it is. You can control the message you give out, but not the way it's received.

From where I stand it doesn't take any real analysis to see your agenda. And if your intentions are so misunderstood I don't know why you're not trying harder to correct those misunderstandings.

You should read the back of cereal packets more often, you can sometimes find clues there about what is inside the packet.

Flew out to Taygeta to see if there was anything interesting, but so far no more than a few wss and a couple uss.

Starting to think Mr. Busey brought some UA repellent on board this morning when we took off from Ngobe...

I'm wondering if it is my 'thousand times requested' test: "let an UA expire with a ship very close to its mouth, zero speed, and FSD charged and ready", that was never done so far... :D

Who knows... ah, if I only had an UA to test it... ;)

I have a theory (puts on tinfoil hat). I really think the answer is about communicating with the artifact directly. Further, I think the artifact is, as other have suggested, scared or off. I think we should spend a lot more time with the free floating ones (since their main benefit right now is that they can float indefinitely) trying to communicate. I also think we need to try different ship distances, configurations (weapons, no weapons, shields, targeted, not targeted, etc.), number of ships and just start throwing messages into the local chat to see what happens. I thought about trying to cut and paste the morse into new messages and playing it through voice comms, but I think that might be a bit too sophisticated for a game AI to understand.

Another thing just pooped into my head (yeah, pooped) and that's can we lower shields, get reaaaal close and then raise shields again so that the UA is inside our shields? It would be all nestled in and protected?

mayhaps we have to time a discovery scanner sound with one of the sounds repeatedly or something like that.

Its a reference to Alien and Close encounters of the third kind. ;)

First Melody is from Close encounters OFTK, second one is from the first or second Alien film.

How is Alien related? The Alien was found on LV462..... The are 4 tubers and 6 sides of the object with 2 ends.

462 now we need find the Lv bit... ;)

Ignore me if am a raving loon just my OP on it. Its not hard I know just brain storming ! :D
