That's what I'm picturing in my head too but I can't draw well enough to convey it on paper. Thanks though.
What I have in my head is sort or like that grappling hook but with a much wider angle.
I also think the 'blade' parts can move about and act like landing gear too.

Yeah, I wasn't sure. Perspective is hard. I think that what we're seeing as a crashed ship is the same as the thing we see a green glowing part of in the other video. I think that's one of the "claws".

The first part to come into view, the somewhat rounded, black thing seems to be the 'knuckle' connecting the blade to the arm, at least my brain interprets it that way, given both images are heavily obscured.

Maybe we could get a confirmation from Micheal? Is there anything we can do before the 28th? do we still need to find the bounty hunter?
I'm taking what MB said at face value and assume no further progress can be done on this particular storyline until the 28th. I'm using the time to return from my mid range nebula expedition, get some engineering going if possible and be ready on Sunday, whatever 'the hunt' may be.

I read this over on the Rift forum, but it makes Thargoids seem unlikely as Salome said something to the effect of "and they thought thargoids were bad" in reference to her mystery.
