POH and ZH have a letter in common, most likely a vowel.(maybe not though so don't stick to that) That would be a great place to start.

"Fishhook" was the best fit I could find anyway and it didn't seem to help with the rest of the message

I'm guessing these are all code phrases and not meant to be taken at face value.

One of Seven --> The Seven Pleiades
Mother of the messenger --> the messenger could be "Hermes" or in roman mythology "Mercury", his mother is "Maia", one of the Pleiades.
pursued by the giant huntsman --> Orion (in the Mythology the Pleiades were hunted by Orion)
you will find more at the black glass --> this makes no sense to me atm. Somebody knows what can be meant by "Black Glass"? Seems it must be a place or station?

I'm hung up on HIRXXTTB Whether forwards or backwards coming up with words in English that have adjacent doubles at 8 letters long should be a pretty small list. When I use quipqiup on just that word it gives:
Shalloon
Fishhook
Thuggees
Spittoon
Bourrees

Reversed:
Cooeeing
Woollens
Woollies
Roommate
Woollier

If we expect direct letter substitution, the only one that seems related is fishook, given the earlier reference to fish, but they all seem out of place.

thuggees was a group of assasins who targeted the british empire in India (if memory hasn't failed)

Kohl is the trader
Dillion is the bounty hunter

Kohl Flys the asp X
Dillion Flys the Cobra
Granger Flys the type 9

I did some Google searching and that's what I come up with reasons are for there is a museum which as exploration and lots of history of human life spanning 25000 years which is known as granger. Then for dillion is reference to the latest star wars with the female character ( is she a jedi or a bounty hunter ) and then Kohl well that was simple enough.
As for the ships I didn't go for the the normal ships u would expect, as the Explorer is a type 9 my reason is that the type 9 can have many things high end optional compartments. And the asp x being the trader is for speed trading and also being able to hold a bit of cargo and able to jump far. The cobra well just because of that video at the last day of gamescon.
This is just a theory of which ship goes with which person.

Dillon NEVER carries cargo.

Pirates do have cargo some time, so Dillon could be the bounty hunter, because kohl is the trader. But, where is Dillon going to be at what time? hehe

So, yeah, somehow there is an explorer and is on a type-9, for reasons in google.

According to the info missing, the unsolved message should at least contain a system name (probably a new one) and might contain a name or a ship... we also lack a ship color
