I think the article in question was in Sol. Good news is I'm back from the outer rim, so I can start to help with the search of the Pleiades. If only I could decide where to start... oh well, I'll head to Obsidian Orbital first and then decide.

Merope 2A is the only moon around the first couple of planets to have deep canyons, so that's a good place to start if you like scenery.

Is prob a bug but Pleione 3 A has 0.000 Earth masses in the system map.

See if you can reach orbit in your SRV :D

Just looked in on Weyn Dock, and Universal Cartographics and Contacts seem to be available (was able to sell some Exploration data here). Has this always been the case with closed stations, or is this new? I thought only docking and shipyard should be available...

How is the effort to check planet surfaces being organised at the moment? Just want to check that I am not about to start looking in areas which other folks are already covering.

Could be random POI if the right conditions ate met, placed ones could be in unique places with the right conditions.
I'm thinking terrain or surface features, canyons craters, mountains etc.
Might be worth noting any unique terrain in size or makeup.
Unique to the Pleiades that is

I'd never thought to dock at the closed stations before, so I'm not sure what it was like, but if this is not known, I can confirm it's the same at Gaiman Dock too. As such, I suspect all 7 are the same and I am heading to Maia to patch up a dodgy boosting incident in Gaiman Dock before heading to Merope.

Hey guys,

Just to let you know that I found a crashed nav beacon on Merope 2C (if interrested).
-38.93245 deg
174.56885 deg

Morse code says "BROKEN" in random order.

That's facinating to see how many ships crashed on this system, and now I see a Nav beacon...

Id like to take alook at some UAs and be more active in research. IS there a suggested ship build?

Secondly has there been muhc if any research in to Peregrina (Ancient Spanish meaning the Pilgrim / Wanderer), 'Plague' system

As far as I know, this isolated system has been struck down by a mysterious plague that is spreading across inhabited space. We know very little of this virulent disease, other than it causes damage to machinery and electronics, eventually leading to malfunctions and mechanical failures.

At the moment, Antal Utopian scientists and engineers have begun work on establishing a forward base in Peregrina to study first hand this troubling problem, as well as help the local inhabitants cope with a growing humanitarian crisis. This system also gives us access to the Unknown Artefact shell centred around Merope, as well as being a potential rescue system for the citizens of Obsidian Orbital recently established in the Pleiades Nebula, should the need arise.
Peregrina itself is a permit system, and as a first stage in this operation we must gain the permit. To do so, go to the following systems:
HIP 18609, KAGUTSUCHI, HIP 19157
Undertake rep missions for the Peregrina Aristocrats faction. Once allied, the permit will be granted.
Once enough commanders gain the permit, the next stage of the operation can begin.

Are their any other research's looking in to the links to Peregrina?

Found many, all the same, I don't even care much anymore. Sad that FD didn't bother including actual clues in those sorts of POIs ....

Taygeta seems like it would be a worth a search for pre-placed barnacle POI's . the two landables Taygeta 4 and 7 in particular. both seem fairly unique compared to most of what i seen of all the sisters.Taygeta 4 even more so with it's rings and +4 earth masses.

Took Me 2 whole days to get the mission to finally bless a BB so I've got My corvette parked on Taygeta 4 now and will start searching around in the morning.

I've done two trips to Taygeta 4 so far, second one this morning which I remembered to capture to video and I found 2 crashed nav beacons (co-ords 14.8299 by -86.1798 and 14.8556 by -85.1735) but so far nothing else of note and mainly found Iron, Nickel, Cadmium and Vanadium to be most common around those locations. These were on the darkside of the planet.

Cant hurt to recheck given the POIs are rare

Is this system closer to habitted space? I may take a look sometime soon if I can

I'll give it a go Ben +rep for your angle of attack.

I've had enough of playing skittles with Gold cans anyway :)
