See how it's pretty damn obvious? I theorized in the last thread they could be in these because FD describe them in a video as being mineral deposits, and that's the ideal place for a Barnacle to grow its meta alloys.

I would be willing to bet this is the special condition it requires. And I will be testing it shortly by scouring the hell out of other bits like this on the same planet, and then on other planets around the place.

I've ignored a place just like that yesterday or the day before! Possibly in Pleione.

Honestly I think the ties between the UA and Barnacle are done at this point. It lead us where we needed to go and now we have meta alloys and a signal from a system roughly 23 ly away. I don't see UA's doing anything to help us beyond this point, There's clearly some stuff to work out with meta alloys though, but I'd say the focus should be on finding the system that signal came from and then putting what we have together. There's another huge piece of the puzzle sitting very close by, we just need to find it.

Just opinion by the way since that could sound rather rude.

Visited the Barnacle site and interesting sounds it makes, took a UA along for the ride.

Made a video recording, can upload that later after work if needed. Recording the Structures , and barnacle sounds, deploying UA alongside the barnacle, recording sounds.

Barnacle itself makes some curious sounds too.
Harvested 2 t of meta alloys, sampled a smaller branch but decided to leave the rest of those. Since they die i'd rather let those mature more, only contain poor multiple materials.
Meta Alloys found only in the large bud on the large branch things, they have the same blue lights around as the UA do. If it doesnt have the lights its not ripe or ready for picking.

Delivered 1 t on meta alloy to obsidian orbital commodities market to see if anything comes of it considering the galnet post on OO.

Still have 1 meta alloy and UA in hold, UA still degrades modules in ship. Will search for the 23lyr signal later tonight.

Edit : will upload the video while i'm off at work, at near 4 gb it will take some time. will post it after midnight when back home.

Please make sound recordings of both the barnacle and the UA so we can analyse if the sound changes in any way for either of them when they are in the same instance.

I have been at the exact fixed location and reloaded solo over 10 time and it never spawned. Switching to open get me to a destroyed spawn, and back to solo I get no Barnacle.

That means I wasted over 30 hours because of their damn losy developper and programmer skills to something that was totally boring and mind numbing, for absolutely no reason as I could never find it in solo.

Definitely out of of any of their stupid event and wish many follow that path.

Talk about a liar that doesnt double check what he says to his customer, even after clear questioning of his statement have been made.

wow. i dont think iv heard of anyone acting so entitled in this entire community. He stated that they would be pretty obvious if you found one. he didnt say they would be easy to find.

the fact that they are appearing in public but not in solo indicates that this is procedurally generated random spawn. not one of the hand placed ones.

no one likes a cry baby. this community can do without people like you. if youre that upset about not being able to find one and your that mad and think the devs are soo terrible, you can walk off bud. the devs are great, the programmers are doing there best and are great. not doing this for rep, i just hate seeing :):):):) spoilers like you show up when they wernt the first to figure something out.
