UAs, Barnacles & More Thread 6 - The Canonn

Repped.I play so little that I'd never have thought have that. A new tactic to try out, even though directed to someone else. I am sure a little self destruct once in a while is good for one ;)
Use the opportunity to test out just how "forgiving" it is to come in for some bad landings on Hi-G worlds. Or any other thing you've been meaning to test during the exploration trip that might result in the destruction of your ship. Find out exactly how long you can scoop at what heat, see what it's like to slam into a neutron star or black hole, etc. Go crazy with it!

I bet 10 tons of painite that the UAs evolved out of their naupilus larvae stadium into their cyprid form.
Google barnacle and cyprid to see that I mean.

Well done sir, I believe you've cracked it :)

Looks like UA's and Barnacles may have a circular life cycle.

The head of the UA and Cyprid look very similar (Has those tiny eggs)

EDIT

Learned something about Barnacles I didn't know. Thanks

Davanix your post was removed because you are talking about BETA version, not yet available for normal players.

Don't talk about what you see in Beta version in this thread, go in the right place (search function is useful)

[...] i wont post it again but i will say this: [...]

You state you won't post it again, yet...You post it again? My reaction:

Whoever is deleting posts in this thread, would you please stop? There was *nothing* wrong with *mine* and you could have at least have had the courtesy to drop me a note about it.

I wasn't the moderator who acted in this thread but, the reason your posts were deleted was part of the residual cleanup of a post that had been removed as you had quoted it directly in your reply.

Nothing sinister just part of the service. :)

When you live in a military dictatorship IRL, everything is sinister!

DON'T KILL THE KITTENS! BETA THREAD FOR BETA SCIENCE!

We've sadly lost a few kittens today to unfortunate beta 'leakage'.

Let's take a moment to remember them...

We must try to keep the baby feline loss to a minimum, folks, and use the beta thread for any Beta 'discoveries' or discussion.

Remember: Every 10 kittens sacrificed results in a unicorn being sent to the glue factory. Every 10 Unicorns sacrificed results in a snapped rainbow. Don't worry about the Care Bears, they're dying out already.

That address again: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=246888

---

Should we all agree to ensure this is posted once in each page of 15 replies - since that's the default paging most of us will use - to try and avoid such situations in the future?

Or Mods - can this thread have this as a strapline at the start of all pages?

A cute pair of kitten and unicorn pics wouldn't go amiss either.

Anyways...., so it turns out the Spirograph is full of nothing much. Preliminary scans indicate the presence of zero signal sources. Because I'm out this way anyway, and have little better to do just now, please be advised that I am currently on my way to 78 Messier (or something). In the event that this trip (as I fully expect it to be) is also fruitless, I shall return to the spirograph and map the living daylights out of it. (it'll help with the explorer rank if nothing else) ;)
