A Capital Ship Class in Maia?

I'm not sure if it's special with ordinary signal sources spawning in Maia. Might be that it's just matter of rng and eventually with the x-th source spawned you get a distress call from a capital? Somebody more familiar with signal sources got an answer for this?

I think it's only a random spawn. Here's a video though (I was originally looking for these mysterious S6: 7 etc. ships)

The Imps really need to tighten up their act now. First they lose controll over their main navy system and then they let the cap. ship go on leave. The pittyfull replacements they put in for it have been vapourized.
Anyone could haave done it. The Imps seem soft at the moment.

They probably have a traitor in a very high possition. You can say a lot about the imps, but they are usually not soft.

I'm currently in the process of verifying ALL known barnacle sites. I'm calling it the "Tour de Bernacle" ;)

I did hit one snag, though... seems I just can't help thrusting at things... and the ground is rather hard. I've now blown my canopy twice (first time I popped my canopy was this trip). Turns out, 5 minutes getting back to Obsidian Orbital isn't all that much time:

Wasn't sure if the timer stopped upon entering the mail slot. Don't think I've ever hit it that fast. Just gotta make sure not to hit the back wall (these things could be a bit deeper).

For a first time return without canopy, this was at the very least exhilarating.

Remember kids, always fly with your canopy on!

/fly safe

Edit: Oh yeah, I'm going to see Darnielle about some upgrades so I can last longer next time!

You should. There is no excuse for flying with E-Class life support. :)

Corrigendum has posted an article reporting claims from a CMDR to have seen a mystery Diamondback at Zenbei Orbital, in Vaka: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=101801&p=3528743&viewfull=1#post3528743

If the report is to be believed, the ship had no signature to lock on to - making spotting it tricky. Local contacts list might be the easiest way to see it.

Could a few people get there to try and tease one out?

hmm, flying laterally, always facing it...then mysteriously disappears. Sounds suspiciously like the bug that places NPC's in the station (rotating with it) while being several km outside of it.
