That reads like there'll be a full Galnet post mentioning Tionisla, and once seen we should brace ourselves. Sounds to me like 2.2 is when it all kicks off though!

Related: With it being apparent that 2.2 is when things are happening, maybe that's the meaning behind the "rain in July" comment...The mysterious 2.4 content has been prepared ahead of schedule, and is now ready to be inserted around the launch of 2.2 instead.

Re Tipoff and ships in peril.
We totally forgot about Distress-calls haven't we. Perhaps we should visit them more often at least in the system where we find some of the really strange messages.

How much of the Cone nebula has been explored?
Prior to 2.1, most of it I think. I passed through on my way back from the Crab Nebula for the CG in Tsu before Easter last year and most places had been tagged even then. Since 2.1, the Cone Nebula has been completely cut off by permit-locked sectors, although Cone Sector and non-procedural systems inside the nebula do not have a permit lock. I tried to get in early in 2.1 but was not able to get within range of any non-locked systems. I'm not sure if even a max-range modded Anaconda with a 100% FSD boost could get in, now.

guessing you guys already know about this? merope 5c has changed a bit

I've posted this over at the "The things are coming"-thread, so I hope it's ok I post it here too, as I genuinely believe this might be relevant, and I don't know about any info crosspollination going on between these threads.

(you're entering a heavily tinfoiled area)

I don't think this has to be the Thargs. The pilots are talking about lights- could it be some of the point-light artifacts we see in hyperspace?

All the pilots crashed as a result of interaction with these Unknown Entities. It might be a side-effect of their tech- just like the UA accidentally started dissolving ships and stations.
Today, Drew mentioned we want to get ready for something by getting friendly with the Engineers, which means engineers can alter something that will counteract whatever the unknown entities use- whether it's a weapon or a side-effect. We need to identify the most likely modification- I'm just grasping at straws here, but it might be some kind of Shielded Power Distributor, or something?

What can knock out all systems in a ship? What's the logical weak point?

sorry shuda taken it inside the SRV, both of these pics are Merope 5C and it has gone from yellow to white between april and now
crater is also the one that supposedly has cool noises coming from it; cant hear
EDIT: -77 -2 crater

mixing ideas together only leads to more confusion. Drew is talking about something different, and he gave a hint on what people could in the meantime.

expect tough times, but I doubt the engineers have something to offer as complex as devices-indestructible-by-aliens for the formidine rift.

Just because it sounds a bit like Thargoids doesn't mean it is Thargoids - on the scale of potential alien life they're not the only scary options out there....

Do the UA/UP's look like I'd expect Thargoid tech to look? Does the response from official sources match what I'd expect given that humanity has had some contact with them we think during this timeline?

I'm not sure they do, I'm not sure it does. Could be, but fireflies and all I think we're looking at something else

Bloch Vision, Loperada

so lets get to work deliverying meta alloys to these locations in as many numbers as we can. Then see once they start to repair what Fdev does. At the very least we reduce the lists of affected stations
Dropped of 50 meta-alloys there a couple of nights ago.

Im pretty sure braben also said that the thargoids will be the... "tame" of the bunch.
