Ugh, Starting over from the beginning.

Ok, Been playing ED for 1 year now. All the time I have been on is with my sons Xbox account. Well the kids are getting dad his own so I now get to start mine. 150Mil a Python, A Ferd and a DB Exp. Any advise for someone to starting fresh with a sidewinder? I figure it will go allot faster this time around but any advice is welcome.

Go mining for a few hours and buy any ships you want. If you fancy having access to founders world, go mining for a few hours more and you'll be elite in trade :)

(I've been watching some Gilbert and Sullivan)

Let me playfully offer advice in a manner more musical,
Fly a ship to trade explore go navy but don't do piratical,
Visit great vistas of space and enjoy sounds phe-no-me-nal,
Forget about the grind rather enjoy flying ships big or small!

Are you the very model of a modern pilot im-pe-ri-al?

The only thing that really would **** me up with starting a new Cmdr, are all the TV Shows i would have to watch again...all Enterprise Seasons...again...

plot a slow route to LYR space from starting system.

Scan everything on way with new free FSS

sell scan data and buy Viper MkIV or Cobra MKIII, and upgrade as best you can.

Enjoy game at a leisurely pace from there in.

Good things to do early:

Unlock the engineer in deciat. She covers most early needs.

Go out to guardian structures and get fsd booster unlocked.

Credits are not really an issue anymore.. a few weeks of passenger missions and you’ll have enough.

Engineers is the real progression it seems and it actually feels about right.

The old rep grinds though feel sorely out place though, especially since frontier have eliminated stacking in all but a few places.
